Yes! I am in complete shock, 3 weeks and I got my travel document, valid for 2 years!

Re-Entry Permit. I will actually make my emergency trip! Thank God!!!:D

No online update. I had an idea that they had mailed me something, how? Well, remember the express mailers? They come with tracking, when you pay, the post office folks should return a tracking label back. I kept checking on the label, on Thursday, it said, packaged was picked up at "Nebraska" I was shocked, but excited, waiting all day and got it today! I am ecstatic. Any more questions regarding the process? I will answer later, I know how anxious i got about it, so please ask if you have any specifics.

No, no real questions. It's getting to be the time when I'll have to call USCIS because my bloody expedite request is OUTSIDE NORMAL PROCESSING TIME! I HATE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations !!. I am still waiting for mine. I have plans for June too. I called them and requested to experdite, but nothing so far.

Yes I have a reference number but when I call in to ask for the status it is never asked for. They always just give me the standard online (before expedite request) status, and I have to force them to look up more, for which they always ask for ALL MY DETAILS. Their system is so cumbersome. I'm calling on Monday and giving them hell.

Pinkie,

Can you please tell what was the reason for expediting? Are you going for a business trip to Europe?

CAFE is correct. I have an immediate family member's wedding. I included a lot of supporting material. I made sure I documented the urgency and pretty much followed their requirements. Now I have to get that schengen visa in 10days. Wish me luck!

If your family member is a resident or citizen of EU, they can get an "offical" invitation letter from the aliens office. Usually if you do that, you can get a visa in 1 day, no matter what nationality you are.

Getting a Dutch visa like this twice took me about a month, each. But, for her, I'll bet it will be a couple of days.

Haha, as usual, fruitless. The letter I got from them said that if I hadn't heard within 30-35 days, call back. I did, and NOTHING. I have written a curt letter to them, which I will fax. These guys are shameless.

Cafe: I wish you the best! I feel for people when they have to wait for a document from the bureaucracy. Keep at it, it should pay off. I do have a question, since you are outside the U.S. does that mean you are stranded out there until you get your Travel Doc?

Want: My family member is a U.S. Citizen, lives and works in one of the Euro countries. I went to the Consulate, and they accepted my application, the person at the consulate said they submitted the application for schegen and they will contact me if they need more information. I do have to take another invitation letter, the one that they provided missed some information, so they expedited it to me. So Keep your fingers crossed for me yall!

Aren't those air tickets expensive?

I have my RTD valid until the 20th, and I have a flight back on the 18th for now. Unfortunately, it seems like I'll have to receive my RP back in the states. I'm not stranded :)

Bon voyage/ God rejse!

Wantmygcnow, you had it right! I got my visa in less than 12 hours valid for 3 weeks per my request!
