NY state tax transcripts?

I see that in rear cases IO might request state tax returns as well. How to request transcripts in NY State? How long does it take to receive transcripts and how much it cost?

Yes, IO can be pain in the rear when they ask for tax receipts.
You can request your NY state income tax from tax department:

So, they are not transcripts and not free of charge?! These are actual copies of tax returns – correct?
In this case, can we use our tax return copies instead of their copies? I don’t see a difference.

I haven't ordered mine yet, and I don't think I'll be ordering them. These are only the copies of your tax return, not the transcripts. I've checked my personal files and have so far found state returns for 2005 and 2007. I know for a fact that I have a few more sitting around somewhere.

Exactly… That was my point, too. Why would I order copies from them – if I already have my own? Unless, they were transcripts.

Agreed. In all honesty, I really don't think you'll even be asked to show state returns. I only heard of 1 instance where an applicant was asked to show state returns, so the chance of it happening isn't very high. However, take them with you anyway. It's better to be overprepared than underprepared.
