i got my passport stamped at Detroit.
I guess it should not matter where u get the passport stamped.
But it did not receive any welcome letter fron INS.
Yeah i was lucky enough to get my GC in 2 months.
My friends who got stamped b4 me are still waiting.
 
I got my PP stamped in Detroit this Monday. How long to expect the online status to be changed for card order...?
 
Thank you ARB123. The information you provide really helps. The online message for myself changed to
"On January 11, 2005, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

And the Last Updated time in my CIS account changed for the whole family.

I485 Approved - 5/17/04
Stamping - 6/21/04
Card - Waiting
 
Card Ordered

My information now says "card ordered". How long would it take? Thanks.
By the way, G-731N may work. I mailed through registered mail 12/7/04. Have invested $6 for a whole box of window envelops to mail G-731N. It seems to work.

PS, Did they mail your G-731N back? :confused:
 
1. After approval email on January 12th my LUD is changing everyday...is this normal?
2. Is Stamping a must thing to do?
3. I read on this thread that for some folks message got changed "card ordered" how did you see this message? by entering 485 LIN # or some other number?

SD: 06/01/2004

Card Ordered: 01/18/2005
Card sent: 01/20/2005 (not yet received)

Spouse's card is not yet ordered (same AD & SD as mine)

We recently came back (on 01/15/05) from an international trip. Had heard that, any internation trip (after stamping) triggers the plastic card. May be that's true.

Online status did not change -- what can I do

We got our PP stamped in October. But our online status still says "We have recieved you documents... you will notified when a decision is made" This is the status that is saying that they got our RFE response. The LUD is 11.20 (after we got our PP stamped).

Now my question is, what I can do about it? After stamp, we did not recieve anything (welcome packet or plastic card)?

We have applied to NSC and stamped at Denver.

I called the National Service Center since the USCIS website says, if you don't receive your card in 60 days...you need to call them. I spoke to the Customer Service and was told that I have to wait indefnitely.. :confused: That's how I came to know that we'll get a welcome letter. Has anybody who has approx. the dates I have received the welcome letter?

After 60 days of stamping when we called we got same kind of reply.
But when we called after 75 days of stamping she took all my details
and opened case status enquiry. That mainly depends upon the
rep who will respond. Then with in 4-5 wks of that case status was changed to we replied. In 2-3 wks we got letter stating that:
your case has been ordered from our ofline storage .... pl. wait
30 - 60 days to receive and review. After 45 days of the letter
my card was ordered.
So do not panic. After 1-2 wks call again. You may come accross
good rep.

I just got an email notify me that the plastic was sent and should arrive within 14 days.

Here is my:

I485 ND: 06/12/02
1st FP: 07/25/02
2nd FP: 08/01/03
RFE: 03/19/04
Mail RFE:05/19/04
I485 AP: 05/26/04
Plastic ordered: 01/18/05
Plastic sent: 01/22/05

How long from this point for cards.

I received email from USCIS regarding Plastic cards:

On January 22, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a
new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case
status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or
advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please
contact the National Customer Service Center.

How much time it will take from here..

RD : AUG 2001
ND : SEP 2001
AD : MAY 2004
Stamped: JUN 2004.
