thanks.

[QUOTEI happened to check the status at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp, and noticed the following message:

"If you were granted permanent resident status or entered the U.S. with an immigrant visa more than 60 days ago and have not received your first permanent resident card, please call 1-800-375-5283"

Does this mean that everyone should get his/her plastic card in 60 days after it is approved? otherwise call 1-800-375-5283?

Is this message new or always there?

Hi Guys,
Please add my name to the list.

I485 approved 6/15/2004
Passport stamped 7/19/2004
Last update on USCIS website 7/27/2004
Waiting for the plastic card

BTW, a few moments ago, I also saw the message saying "If you were granted permanent resident status or entered the U.S. with an immigrant visa more than 60 days ago and have not received your first permanent resident card, please call 1-800-375-5283" on the USCIS website, but it has now disappeared.

Maybe someone on this board if you are already waited more that 60 days, you can try to call this number. Thanks ;) :) :) :)

Called USCIS

I called the number.
Was told by the customer service representative that :
"As per information available with me, afterthe approval of I-485, it takes apprx. 90-120 days to create the card and mail it".
She asked me to check after mid-September.
My approval date was: May-2004.

Move and Plastic card

This seems to be the best thread to ask this question. It is very likely that even after filling all the forms and calling USCIS they won't update the change of address.

Does plastic card mail gets forwarded by USPS? I know EAD/AP envelop is stamped with "Return service requested" so USPS will not forward the mail.

Thanks,
