CP or AOS? Help Needed

Maybe this was discussed before. I am a new to this discussion.
I just got my labor certified from chicago DOL. EB2/RIR.
I know the basic difference between CP and AOS.
1. What is the exact documentation needed to file I-140?
2. I am looking to see what the current trends are? Is CP faster or not?
has 9/11 or recent laws made any changes to the process. My wife is
from bombay and I\'m from hyderabad. Can we apply to bbay consulate? Or do
I have to choose madras consulate? how does one choose?
3. Also, which process between CP or AOS is faster as of now?

thanks in advance for the help everyone!

thanks in advance...

1. If you have shown work experience for labor, you need to provide work experience letters. But other than that I do not think you need any new documentation.
2. There are more changes with CP now. There is routing of application change, which might delay the process by another month or so,... but I still think CP is the way to go! The only thing is, you need to travel to india for interview. If you are the primary beneficiary, you need to go to chennai consulate for interview.
3. As of now, CP is faster.

hope this helps.

As it goes for the papers for 140, what I have heard is that if you have shown experience for labor then you need to show experience letter for labor only if there is a query. if your labor is clear then you don\'t need experience letter. I know a friend who never gave a experneice letter and is now in 485.

So my thinking is experience letter is needed only if there is a RFE.

Correct me if I am wrong guys..................

What is RD & ND means..

Hi, My lawyer has mailed doc’s for I-140 at the end of December, I got the receipt number LIN 02-251-XXXXX. When I call the NSC number, the auto system tells my case is received on Jan 4th, 2002 and it is taking 60 to 75 days to process. My question is, what is this date? is it RD or ND, if it is RD when ND will be created and how to find it. Please update me.

Thanks

Here is the answer for your question...

(RD)Received Date is what AVM says received on.
(ND)Notify Date is when they send a hard copy to your attorney to notify him about your application.

Notification Date will normally be same date as RD or few days after RD.

Hope this clears your doubt.

Not for CP

I am not going for CP. Also, recently my friends here are getting 485 approval in 11 months. May be more faster for us.
I hope to meet you all in 485 board.
