S I should be "out of the wood" in a few weeks :)

Hi Roger,
 I noticed you were an "April mailer" while your wife was a "November Mailer".
I am a "November Mailer" too and plan to file for my wife in the coming months. I have been told that I can file for my wife anytime before my 485 is approved. Is this true? Do I need to be aware of any other caveats?

When should we expect FP notice???

ND is 11/27/01; RD 11/23/01.
My Service center is Oakland. Any approximate dates as to when I can expect FP, EAD and AP?
Am tired of the long wait.

Hi JS

Yes, you can fill your wife I-485 at anytime BEFORE your I-485 gets approuved. If your I-485 get approuved before you have time to fill your wife paperwork, you will need to use the "follow to join" process (it\'s a consular process).

I got married in November, that is the reason why I could not fill her stuff before....

But something really important if she is not yet your wife, you have to get married BEFORE your I-485 gets approuved or you will be in big problems (you will not be able to fill for follow to join)

hi,

No status update as yet for me. AVM is still the same \'975..999 days\'.

Waiting for EAD.
Not planning to go (SanJose) and get iEAD if I dont receive anything by Feb 21. Hopefully it comes soon.

Also waiting for FP.
As all of you know, FP in SanJose is pretty slow and currently they are working on Sep NDs. So, at this rate it will take couple of months.

Again... hoping for the best.
