No EOS or COS on I-94

My 62 year old mother was visiting us and she had "No EOS or COS due to SII 1027" stamped on her I-94, and "Stay Limited" stamped on her passport above the POE stamp. We are thinking of filing for an extension, since there were reports on this site that some people have managed extensions even with NO EOS stamps. Any idea what SII 1027 means? Any help is much appreciated

SII 1027 is Supervisory Immigration Inspector 1027 is the that person's stamp number. This means the No COS or EOS was authorize by the Supervisor.

Did you apply extension of stay for her? My mother also has EOS/COS stamped on her I94 and were thinking of extending her stay but weren't sure if it would cause problems in her future vistis as she has a 10yr multiple entry visa.

It is evident your mother created some sort of suspicion in the mind of the officer at the POE. That officer referred her to his/her supervisor (probably at secondary inspection). Now the supervisor could have easily denied entry to your mother and put her on the next plane back. However, the supervisor issued your mother a limited duration I-94 with no room for EOS/COS.
I would advise you not to apply for EOS. It may get approved (slim chance) but it is more likely that it will be refused. If the refusal comes after the expiry of her I-94, this will invalidate your mother's multiple entry visa(I am assuming she has one). It will also make her future entries into the US very difficult. You make the call.

EOS denial alone won't cause problems, however, if denial comes AFTER I-94 expiration, her visa will get void automatically. So plan accordingly.
