Is it possible to get FP done prior to Scheduled date at NEWARK??

I and my wife went to Newark for FP on 3/27. My wife\'s FP was computerized.
On April 2nd, for her AVM updated "FP results received and processing resumed".
My FP was manual and till today (4/15), no change in AVM.

Let us keep in touch since our date of FP is very close.

I heard INS office has 2 entrances. Can you share your experience?

My FP was at 12 noon. I reached there at 11:35 AM.
I used the entrance on Commerce Street.
Stood in a line for FP. There were only a couple of people in the Line.
A lady checked the Passport (which I used for Identification) and the FP notice. Then we were asked to sit. Within 2 to 4 minutes they called my wife\'s number and she was taken to a commputer. Right away, my number was called and I was taken to a manual FP table. My wife was done in 5 minutes. With me, due to Manual FP, it took 20 minutes.

I think they should go to Totally Computerized FP. It is much faster.

Why do they do it differently?

Computerized for one and manual for one ? Is it mentioned in the FP notice or they just don\'t have enough machines ?

FP notice question

Hi folks I finally received the FP notice in the mail this week. Details:

EB2/India/NJ
RD Jan 25, 2002
ND Feb 11, 2002
FP May 17, 2002 at Newark.

My question is I have been instructed to appear in the INS Newark office at 12 p.m. I have read on this forum people advising one to show up as early as 8 a.m. at the INS office. Will they process my case in the morning or do I have to wait till 12 p.m.

Go there 30 min earlier, that\'s enough

I don\'t hink they will let you do FP before your appointment time. I did FP last Friday in Newark and we came there 15 min before and we had to wait for an about 1 hour inside after initial processing, because there were about 22 people ahead of us waiting for FP. Some people did not have to wait that long, I guess it depends on number of applicants they invite for that particular day.
