Guys... I do not know why no one from this board is reporting this till now. I know someone who had also filed for LC from NY - Oct 2001. He got his labor approved a week ago. Acc to him a few more people from his company also filed in Oct 2001, and got their LCs approved a few weeks ago.

This is not just a rumor, but I have met that person - I do not know the DOT code or position desc, just that it was RIR EB2 of Oct 2001.

thanks kohls for the update. thats definitely good news. do you guys think that maybe the dol processes multiple monthes at one time but updates the website only showing the latest month it is processing (something like a worst case scenario)?

The person is a IT person. He said he would get the EAD card by December this year. I'll try to get more info. Even if means that it moved to regional it's a good news IMHO.
 
My LC was filed on 10/12/2001 with NY SESA. No news yet.
You can add me to the tracker. As soon as I have any updates on my case I will post.
 
DOL Web site got updated today

DOL website got updated today and guess what. NYSESA is still sitting happy with September. Lokks like they will take rest of the year to finish September/October !!
 
I doubt if that will happen, NJ had the same issue last year and it took them 2 to 3 months to finish it so it should be done before end of this year. also many cases are getting approved from October

You are correct when you say NJ had simillar issue. But if you remember NJ moved out of the Ghost of April2001 a year ahead then NY. So if NJ took 3 months to clear September, NY may take twice the time. It is in the attitude of NY-SESA to come first(from the bottom)
 
Well see , I found process some of October cases is a good sign so hopefully it will pass faster then April issue.

I remember Just watching posting about this peak, I guess it was year ago, it is very hard to find the posting , but he gave detail shows that this is very low volume peak comparing to April 2001 ones

Based on the analysis that PWC did, there were 53,000 cases in 2001. 39,000 claims were before and up to April 30, 2001 and the remaining after that.

If anyone cal call NYSESA and find out how many September 2001 File cabinets are still remaining. This is the only way to find out the speed. They do one file cabinet per month !!
 
My employer would like call up DOL to ask about my status. MY PD is Dec 2001. What number should he call to ask about my status? What are the chances that he will able to speak to any human?

Hi all

I have filed my labor on 2002 feb16 from NJ. And my lawyer told me that my case has moved to NY region on april 16 2004. How can I found my case no to track.I called NY region they said they already started processing May.
