If anyone cal call NYSESA and find out how many September 2001 File cabinets are still remaining. This is the only way to find out the speed. They do one file cabinet per month !!

My prediction: All 2001 cases will be processed in NY SESA by March 2005
=======================================================

Here is the basis of estimate.

Total 2001 cases : 53,000
Total cases up to April 30, 2001: 39,000
Remaining 2001 cases : 14,000

Throughput of NY SESA: 1,500 per month
Time needed to process remaining 2001 cases : 14,000 / 1,500 = 9.3 months
Considering holidays in NOV, DEC, it's around 10 months time frame.

I believe NY SESA processing time moved from April 2001 in May 2004. So 14,000 cases to process after May 2004. It will be March 2005 when all 2001 cases will be
done at NY SESA.

Well NYSESA is currently processing September, only 3 more months left in the year 2001, As per the current trend my guess is, its taking about 2 months to process one month cases. On that basis I am hoping that all cases filed in 2001 will be processed by end of December 2004 or by Jan 2005. March estimate is very depressing...

It all depends how many file cabinets they have left for 2001 cases. Guys, it is NYSESA blood not to process more than one file cabinet in a month(White house memo). So if someone can find out this info, then there is not need of any speculation. The predection will be very easy.

Guess what, no work will be done in November(Bush exit)/december(Holidays).
November: president change
December: they will talk why Bush got booted
Jan'2005: They will still talk is Kerry better or Bush.

Difference between LC filed date and Priority Date

Can some one explain the difference between LC filed date and Priority Date?

Which one is considered for LC processing? and for what do they use Priority Date?

what a ?

this is what i just got from my company ( my case was filed as RIR in Sept 01 ) :
"The Department of Labor,
issued request that all companies, who had filings of NON-RIR, to be
processed as RIR with there required specifications of
advertisement/recruitment process all over again. And there isn't much we
can do about it, believe me you are not the only one, it's effecting just
about everyone whose case was filed between 2000 - Current, not just in XXX.
Even at the end of the Green Card process USCIS is asking us to verify all
of the working conditions, ETA's and that the member is truly still employed
by us.
"
and let me ask u WTF???!!!
// I'm trying to get more info meanwhile....

NY Phones

Hi,
Has anybody put this idea into their heads for providing the service on web for information provided on 212-3372193 or other similar phone #s?
I am sure every frustrated guy calling this #, might have thought about it, But how to make this happen?
Or is there any reason why they don't want to put this info on the web?

The budget, manpower, whitehouse policy and labor department's sluggishness are reason for not updating the online status information. Its a shame that they put several people under anxiety, clear communication will actually help them and us to understand the process delays and manage our own expectations
