New Thread for Transfer cases

Interview Notice received for MN

Just received our interview letter scheduled for last week of July (transferred on March 2nd week). It is very simple letter asking us to be present on so & so date with I-94,PP, EAD & Driv Licence. Nothing more. I was surprised to see just these documents they asked us to bring. Anyone knows anything else to take it for interview inspite of above mention by INS. comments welcome !!!!!

Will keep you all posted with the developments.

MN-lucky and others

Just sharing the documentation that you should probably take with you to the interview whether the INS asks or not.
1. Passports
2. For primary applicant , a current empl. letter verifying salary, position and hrs/week and a statement that the position is for an indefinite period.
3. Copies of last 3 yrs tax returns (federal and state)
If spouse also is a derivative beneficiary, then :
4. Completed signed affidavit of support (I think form I-134 or I-34)
5. Documentation to demonstrate that it is a good faith marriage like copies of leases that have both names, bank a/c that have both names, brokerage or mutual fund statements that have both names, copy of marriage cert.
In addition it is better to have copies of your I-140,I-485,birth certs and affidavits if any etc.
INS is always unpredictable. Never know what they may ask for.

Another MN Interview

I also got my interview letter on Tuesday. The interview is for June 27th. It is asking the same set of documents as MN-Lucky mentioned. However, my wife has not received her interview letter and my interview letter has no mention of her name.

I am curious if others know of instances where either wife did not get a separate letter for interview OR their name was not present in the one interview letter that was sent. My wife is a derivative on 485 application and we filed 485 together.

CONGRATULATIONS Prakash Easwaran

Prakash.. Congrats.

In INS Denver, during the interview, what kind of questions did they ask you? What documents did they want to see from you?

Will be grateful if you can let me know .

All the Best.

Local interviews @ detroit INS - not approved immediately.

Besides my case, I have come to know of couple of
other cases where the interview was set in Detroit local INS
and the cases were not approved immediately.
We were told that we will get approval notices in mail.

A friend\'s interview was held on June-1 and has still
not recvd approval as yet. It is taking about a month
it seems.

RD/ND 03/01, NSC
Interview at INS in july 3rd week.
list of docs. asked is everything they could ask for looks
like a standard letter to me.

transfer date

not known as never got any letter from damned INS.

all kind of papers are asked.i think its a general format
so anything you can think of is always required for interview.
