It had to happen! :( Received RFE from NJ SESA on prevailing wages.
Gotta post the job ad in workplace and submit it again before oct 11th. I feeling pretty #$%$ed up right now. :mad:
 
Ny Dol

I just spoke to a represntative at NY DOL . He said they have not completed entering the June cases in the system yet . Mine was sent to NY DOL in August so the case number was not assigned

HI,

Does NJ SESA send notification to the attorney or employer when they forward cases to NY DOL?

My LC was received by NJ SESA on 04/05/2002. My employer/attorney have not received anything so far. My attorney says that sometimes NJ SESA forwards cases to NY DOL without any notification to the attorney/employer. Is this true?

Hi

I would say that is true ... Sometimes you are just taken by surprise when you have a approval , sometimes they are late in sending the information to the lawyer / employer ..

Hi Guys

My Lawyer said that it was forwarded to NY on the July 16

I was shocked when I called NY DOL and found out that they have entered into their system on the September 8th.

I donno how long it will take to clear NY DOL.

I don't understand why the labor department is doing like this. It is so frustrating.

Why masters degree is required?

Sorry for posting this twice. But I really need some help! I got a query from NJ SESA and my lawyer wants to me to reply to him with info on why masters degree is required. The labor application has been filed as requiring Masters degree in Engg with no experience and the position was for java programmer. We had to do it that way since this is the first company I joined after my masters. Even though I had already worked there for almost 3 years, as per my lawyer, that experience cannot be counted. So...

Can someone please share their experience on this.
If you have any documentation, please post it or email it to me.

I guess the intent of the query is to find out if your job responsibilities require a masters degree. So your response should argue for that.

Theoretically, your job responsibility requires masters + 3 years but it seems that because of some rules the experience with the same employer cannot be counted.

I think there should be a way out!

Nj Sesa

Hi,

My employer/attorney are planning a write a letter to NJSESA to get the status of the cases that they filed in Apr 2002. My employer applied 4 cases in Apr and mine was one among them (SESA recd date: 04/05/2002). NJSESA processing time has passed the date that we submitted and we haven't heard anything from them.

Does it, sending a letter to NJ SESA, jeopardize our cases or processing times?

I don't think it would do any harm to your case. It's your rights to know! Maybe you will hear the good news that your case has been moved to NY DOL.

We are in OCT 2004 and there are ppl from Apr 04 still waiting.(and I think they are waiting since many months now) NJ SESA seems to have halted completely again.
Anyone know more about those 2 Backlog centers- whether they are operational ? If it will help NJ SESA cases at all?

Here is a good news that my Labor is approved (Came to know from Attorney's Office)
Filed from NJ date:02/12/2002
Moved to Regional April30th 2004
Received NOF on Aug 12th 2004
Replied on Sept#01 DOL received on Sept#03
Approval notice received today(10/08/2004)
