Dear Sirs/Madams,
Last week, I(and my spouse) was granted "recommended approval" by USCIS.
Matter is happening in California, so it would be even more helpful if you had similar experience here.
I need your advise in relation to what steps I should be taking now?
I already applied to EAD.
1) How long does it usually take to get EAD?
2) May I apply to SSN while I am waiting EAD or I should receive the EAD first and only after that approach to SS Administration?
3) Final Approval? How long does it take? Recommended approval says, final is waiting background/name check?
3) If I receive final, lets say in 3 months, what date will be considered an official approval date? It is important to identify when i will be eligible for PR, right?
4) We have a young 2 years old son back in my country. How soon we can start application for him and how long usually does it take? in California, in particular?
5) Last but not least question- Education. Can we apply to universities, do we have any support as asylee? We are vulnerable, limited language skills, poor financially
6) Any other action I should take now but I am not doing ???
Thank You very much!
Darren
