Need to study US Civics for FP?

Hey Everyone,

I got a letter to appear for my FP.
Simple Q - Do I need to study US Civics etc. before going for FP?

Thanks

SM
PS: If it matters, my FP is at Wheaton, MD

I don't think so unless the FP letter said so. They usually handout study materials in FP appointment for your to study and prepare for your interview in later days.

Good Luck

MD is the only state in the Union, as to the best of my knowledge, wherein USCIS does allow ASCs (fingerprint location) to conduct US Civics and English test at the time of fingerprinting. It's not a mandatory, though. It's up to the applicants as to whether or not they like to take their test on US History and Civics at the fingerprinting location at the time of fingerprinting.

Since you live in MD, you may contact the fingerprinting location there to find out if they do take the test at thier place or not. And if they do then you may decide if you like to take your test over their or at the interview. Choice is yours.

Amazing... I thought OP was asking a real silly question. Amazing how easily one could jump to wrong conclusions...

Even if this is true, was there something on the letter to indicate that? If not, it would be a bit of a coincidence for someone from MD just to happen to ask this question (in which case you wouldn't answer the first question I asked probably).
