hi all, i m really glade to write here as i am in need to help and somebody answering me, in brief my problem is i am now waiting my case approval of family based green card my husband did to me but before he did it i had two meetings at the USA embassy here asking visitor visa as i was not preparing to immigrate to USA after marriage so at the both meeting i denied i was married at that time, but i got refused at both time so we had to make the immigration paper since then, the question now is at the coming interview will they know that i previous denied my marriage, and if that happened will i be at problem as sure the date of marriage at marital certificate is before the both meeting, i m really confused, the all reason that i was having my good work here and was just in need to visitor visa to be with husband couple months then back here? for that i denied my marriage , plz to whom who concern i really need your help, thank you a lot

that could be a very big problem, since you were providing false information in order to obtain a visitor's visa.

thanks LucyMO for your reply
i really feel so worry about this issue, becoz i know they will understand it like a fraud but i am pregnant now and waiting our first baby and we have a home and all documents proofing that our marriage is a real one not fraud , will this support my position? i really did a mistake and i am regretting for it ..:(

thanks Triple Citizen
but i don't understand what did u mean ? did u mean that they will see the situation from their site and knowing that i wasn't in need to this immigration and pass this mistake when they know i was having good job here as i am a physician and its really hard work at USA before neutralizing my degree so it is harder to me leaving my clinic here to immigrate to there, since then that will be good point for my site?
or u meant by the DS 156 they will know that i was already married at the previous meeting? and i feel you know a lot about issues of immigration can u advise me does this situation need asking an attorney or it may pass safe, hope so..

DS-156 is what you filled out when applying for the tourist visa. That form remains in your file, and they often look back at old parts of your file when you apply for a green card or citizenship. If they do that, they will notice the discrepancy and figure out that you actually were married when you applied for the visa. That will lead to your green card being denied, and possibly you being permanently banned from the US.

Omg, this means no way in front of me?!!, does this mean it's hopeless case? i really feel shocked , no way from making them forgiving me for this little mistake?? i was ignoring of their system and i was confused at that time, does this mean i lost my chance, please anyone help me ..

This wasn't a "little mistake"; it was a great big lie in order to get a US visa on a document that you certified was truthful. And you claim you are a doctor, no less. You are well educated and should be capable of reading what you sign.

Get a lawyer. It may help, but then again it may not.

i called a lawyer and she said the same as you said, you are right.. she started talking to me about Visa fraud and its hazards, i feel so sad , i never thought by that way, yes i am a doctor having high degrees of education but not at USA laws!!may be becoz the laws of my home country don't work by that way.. i told them at the interview i am going to my husband i didn't deny that at the interview,i am not professional at lies for that they refused me,its really complected situation i put myself at i should know first everything about USA laws before doing as people advised me blocking my own mind.. i really was completely wrong and here i am paying the price..i am thinking to remove the idea of immigration from my head waiting husband back completely from there and stay at home country , i really was wrong i agree and regretting but it doesn't mean all these hazards!!

So you told them of the marriage at the visa interview? If yes, was this after they confronted you about lying about the marriage (after they somehow figured out you were married without you having told them), or did you voluntarily reveal the fact that you were married?

If you voluntarily disclosed the marriage at the interview, despite not listing it on the DS-156 form, you might be OK. You are normally allowed to make corrections in the interview. The officer should have simply updated the form to reflect the marriage, and your file should not show lying about the marriage if you voluntarily gave that information in the interview.

But if you applied once without revealing the marriage on the form or in the interview, and then on the second application you admitted the marriage, that's a problem because you let the first application process to completion without revealing the marriage.

Where are you now ... inside or outside the US?

i am outside us, i never entered us, i told them at the interview that im going to husband as i wrote his address at us as my address too and everything went frank they told me why u didn't write that at application so i said becoz i felt u will refuse me as other people advised me, i was completely idiot and frustrated, she said in polite manner at the second interview that my file shows that at my first interview i mentioned that i am going to my husband and this makes me not eligible for visitor visa and my father was with me at that interview she told him she can give him the visitor visa but me not becoz i previously mentioned my husband name at the first application and this stocked on my file since then that i am linked to that guy at us.. that's what happened exactly..
