Hello every one,

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on Naturalization. The question is I have been married for three years but I held GC for only two years. Can I still apply for Citizenship or do I need to wait one more year on my GC.

Your feedback will be appriciated. thank you.

If you've been married to US citizen for 3 years, but only had GC for two, you'll need to wait at least 90 days before your 3rd year GC anniversary before you can apply.

Quick Response Thank you

Greeting every body,

wow, I was stunned to notice such a quick and comprehensive responses. Your feed back was greatly helpful. Many many thanks to all of your for taking the time and answering my question.

Please remember that it is not only important that you are married for 3 years, but that your husband has been a citizen through all those years. Basically the rule is you can apply 90 days (most people in this forum recommend 85 days to be on the safe side of calculations) before you meet your 3 years of continuous residence, but you also have to have been married to a US citizen for 3 years at the time you apply. Anyway, if your husband was a US citizen at the time you married him you already comply with that requirement.
