N400 NOA received but no received or priority date.

Have the same case. Received the notice today and it has no DOB, Receipt,Notice Date, Received or Pri date listed. Guess will have to wait and see what effect this change has.

How did you find out about your fingerprinting date? Does USCIS customer service have any more info available to them than it is online?

It is long story. The 800 people transferred me to Immigration office who told me that my finger print will be on 1/3/09. I am still waiting for the letter.

Thanks so1994. I finally received fingerprint notice in mail on 12/26/8. Based on online status though I would have never known they had mailed it already.

This notice has no blanks and priority date etc are present.

Lockbox Facilities - New Process

I think we all are now aware that evethough the Lockbox facility process is not effective until January 22, 2009, new applications are being forwarded to the lockbox anyway.

I have tried to read about the "Lockbox" process but it's not very clear on what they really do and how do they proceed once they get your application. Anybody has any idea? Are the "Lockbox" facilities supposed to be faster than the National Service Center?

The Lockbox process will centralize initial processing before the cases are sent over to the NBC and finally to DO. The aim is to streamline the initial stages of the process in the hopes of improving processing times.

form n-400 section G

How many times has your current spouse been married (including annulled marriages)?

Should I answer this as 0(Zero) or One(1).

My wife had just one marriage and with me.

Serious? I highly doubt the aim will be realized . Remember how the fee increase in July 2007 was going to enable USCIS to hire more people to also improve processing times? That worked a treat.

I also got a NOA today (1/10/08) without notice, received or priority dates. It's also missing my date of birth. (WTF it's like some computer virus deleted all date data.) My application number begins with "NBC" (instead of "ESC") and the USCIS Office Address is listed as USCIS - National Benefits Center, PO Box 648005, Lee's Summit, MO 64002. I'm not quite sure how forwarding my application from Vermont to Missouri to New York is somehow better (going to be faster) than forwarding it directly from Vermont to New York. But I guess that's USCIS logic at work.

Unfortunately, because I have valid fingerprints on file, I won't be receiving a second letter anytime soon. Let the clusterf**k begin...again.

There was a Dec 2 USCIS memo with an update on the lockbox system that started Dec 1.:

Thank you Bobsmyth, this link is very useful!

After realizing I might get "lucky" for the second time and get stuck in another brand new USCIS "improvement", I got so excited - that I can't decide should i wait another 10 days till Jan 22, or just mail it now to the lockbox, or to the old address?

Vorpal and Bobsmyth, what would you do based on your extensive knowledge of USCIS's absence of logic?

I also got a NOA today (1/10/08) without notice, received or priority dates. It's also missing my date of birth.

I called Customer Service about this twice today. The first representative I got was a moron - she kept insisting that USCIS was no longer including date information on receipts (!?!?) and that I should look on the website for my district office's "priority dates"...and apparently guesstimate based on when I mailed my application in? She refused to transfer me to the next level even though I asked twice and she got condescending. I hung up on her and called again.

Second representative actually asked if my date of birth was missing when I first told him my receipt was missing information. He proceeded to take down/verify my contact details and told me he submitted a request for correction, also noting that the notice, received and priority dates were missing on my receipt. He gave me a request confirmation number and told me that I should get something by mail or email within 45 days.

My moral of the story: If some idiot, hourly-paid USCIS call center employee is blowing smoke up your a$$, hang up and call again.

I always feel really wierd calling again because I think "What if I get the same person I just spoke to?" All in all I have to learn to be more determined when making phone calls.

I like the moral of your story :)

Pardon my ignorance, why is the "Priority Date" so important?.....just curious.....
My application was forwarded to the Phoenix Lockbox facility and I get my NOA from NBC @ Lees Summit, MO and also got the NBC instead of the ESC, by the way what's the difference between NBC & ESC anyway?

On my NOA, it is also printed the following: "Once we have verify all your records on file, you will received an interview letter at your local USCIS office"

I hope all you guys can resolve the PD situation very soon, hopefully like it has happened to a number of applicants - the PD may be included in the FP notice.

Pardon my ignorance, why is the "Priority Date" so important?.....just curious.....

That's what USCIS is referring to when they give processing updates online. For me what's worrying is not that the priority date specifically is missing, but that anything is missing on my receipt. For all I know they cashed the check, printed out a receipt with no information and consigned my application to purgatory with miscarried babies never to be heard from again. Yes, my faith in the competent functioning of the US government is minimal.

I do understand your frustation. It took me 3 years to get my GC :eek: I was very frustrared with the inneficiency of that whole process. I am hopeful this naturalization process won't take as long.

I am sure you will received your PD and DOB together with your FP apointment letter - like it has happened to a number of other applicants on this forum. Be positive, have faith!!!
