n400 help: Dates Out of the Country

Hi all :)

I've been a permanent resident for about 17 years now and am just beginning to start the process of becoming a naturalized citizen (I know, about time right?).

Anyways, I'm filling out my application and am having a little trouble with my Dates Out of the Country section. I've really only been on vacation to one country outside of the US (France) for about a week. Though throughout my 17 years of residency, I've frequented Canada many times (visiting relatives and never staying more than 1-2 weeks tops) that I really can't recall every single and exact date from those past years. Would this affect my application greatly? How would I go about addressing this?

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Not to worry. You can guesstimate on dates and lengths of trips and provide a statement in a seperate attachment describing basically what you have in your post.

Month or season/ year format is fine. Ex: Summer 1996 8 days Canada.
Any trips older than 5 years are largely irrelevant anyways.
