N-400 Application - Group Affiliation

I'm filling up my N-400 application. There is a question about 'Have you ever been a member of or associated with any organization, association, fund
foundation, party, club, society or similar group in the United States or in any other place?

I'm a member of a yahoo group (http://www.unitefamilies.org - group of green card holders seperated from their foreign spouse) and I'm thinking of filling in the same.

Are there any cons to filling out group affiliation (for example does it delay the approval process) ?

I think they are referring to groups such as fraternities/sororities and organizations like Knights of Columbus. I wouldn't even list an internet group on my application.

If it's a Yahoo! group, forget it.

I do a lot of volunteer work so I listed these on my app:

Red Cross
Salvation Army

I also am a member of:
American Radio Relay League
American Automobile Association
IEEE

You should list these types of organizations, as they do political lobbying etc. (AAA is not just roadside assistance!) They want you to be as truthful as possible.

Don't list Costco, Sam's club or stuff like that.

By asking you to list group affiliations on a sworn application, USCIS wants to make sure that you don't conceal that you belong to a known organization (KKK, nazi party, etc..) that incites violence and/or terrorist activities.
