if a person residing abroad does not have a consular registration within five years, unless there is a valid excuse, his/her rights to citizenship can be lost.
Each citizen must be registered at a consular section of embassies abroad after 30 days of his/her arrival to a country.

This information is totally wrong...its citizen's privilege to register with local consulate. Otherwise you are not required to do so and no one is losing any citizenship... don't spread wrongful information on this forum.

Nope

Sinnerroom,
Don't spread your sins around here. Spreading rumors like these should be a sin if not illegal in your case. :D

I wish all the embassies and countries do the same.

I don't think countries should force their citizens living abroad to register with the local consulate/embassy. However it is always a good idea for expatriots to do so in my personal opinion. While I was a PR, I had registered myself with both the Canadian and Pakistani consulates in Chicago. Neither country forces its citizens to register, but both encourage strongly.
