Hi all

I received my PP today with H1 stamped. But the picture is not clear and is not recognizable that it is me.It is very very blurred. I am not sure how to deal with this.

Please advise anyone with similar experience.

I dont know if u saw my message earlier or not but I am also in same situation that my pic on visa is very very dim and not clear. Also the Visa is really different than what it was issued before . This does not have State Dept eagle sign in the middle. I dont know if they changed the format.

Also I am planning to make india trip in a week so was concerned abt the photo on visa.

I don't know why it took them 12 days to cash the check. Everyone' else's seems to be cashed within a week.

Probably it would be better if you call Visa Office. This is something i would do if i were you.

Hi Guys,

I see a lot of revalidations in about a month, however i know of people who have applied in march and are still waiting. Is it that those who send electronic bar coded form get faster revalidations ?? Is there anybody who did not send bar coded form and still got revalidation in a month or so ?? I need to send passports for revalidation and have made out non bar coded forms .. should i send these out or make bar code forms and send them ?? Any feed back would be a great help .. thanks in advance ..

It looks like that the barcoded are moving faster. Also errors are fewer. So use bar-coded if you can

Discontinuation of Domestic Visa Revalidation Services

The Revalidation Division is discontinuing the domestic visa revalidation (or reissuance) service. Notification of the discontinuation of domestic visa revalidation services was published in the Federal Register on June 23, 2004. The Division will therefore CLOSE TO NEW APPLICATIONS ON JULY 16, 2004. ALL APPLICATIONS FOR VISA REVALIDATIONS IN THE E, H, I, L, O, OR P CATEGORIES MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE ST. LOUIS PROCESSING OFFICE ON OR BEFORE JULY 16, 2004.

Regarding the cut off date for H1B Visa revalidation

Hello Manishg_in and Everyone,

This is my first post and am mighty glad that I was introduced to this site. Many of my questions have been answered just by going through the Forum.

I have a quick Q abt the July 16th cut off date for Visa Revalidation within US. My current H1-B visa expires on Oct 29th ,04. I read at the DOS page that I can apply only from 60 days before the current visa expires (in my case from Aug 29th,04). If I get my I797 approved before July 16th, can I send in the PP for Visa revalidation or in other words is the 60 days period rule still valid? Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

As far as I know in the past that DOS has sent back the applications saying that u need to apply 60 days before or within one year after visa expiry. So I guess that is still valid. They have mentioned anything specific to End of revalidation in Red. So if they have not mentioned anything abt this then previous info still holds(abt 60 day before expiry)

Item 15 - Form DS156

Hi Folks,
In answer to item 15 on DS156 form, did you guys write your home address in US or your permanent address in your home country?
On the instructions page, they say "Applicants MUST give their U.S. home telephone number in the space numbered item 16.", but have not mentioned anything specific about item 15.
Any help will be appreciated.

There is item space #24 for your address in the US. Don't we have to provide our permanent address in our home country in item space #15?
