May 2003 RD Tracker

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. My 485 dates are:

485 RD - May 1 2003
FP 1 - March 2004

No change in status on web site since the 485 application was received (FP information was not updated). I've heard that some late 2003 cases have been approved. Any one knows any?

I guess.. we have wait some more time...

from immigrationwatch.com ... i see they apporved case from JUn 2003.. to some of 2004...
i dont see any of the case approved...from march 2003 to may 2003...

so we have long way to go......

1st FP done on March 11th 2004
till now 2 EADs approved...
May be we have to file 3rd EAD...

Thanks rkolmi. Hope we don't have to renew EAD again. My EAD was renewed in Aug 2004 and is valid till Aug 2005. If FP is valid for 15 months, they should be valid till June 2005. Hopefully, 485 will get processed till then.

Another question I had is about immigrationwatch.com. Where do they get their information from? Is it run by the USCIS? Otherwise, how do they get the LIN numbers and approvals? Sorry, if this has already been discussed before.
 
After FP done did LUD changed for Primary beneficiary...?

We had First FP done Oct 12, 04 and LUD for my wife & son was changed while my LUD was not changed..its saying same OLD message as:
"we mailed a notice requesting that you appear for fingerprint recording. The notice also gave the times and location....etc...etc..."

My wife & son LUD changed immediatly (after 2 days) on Oct 14, 04 as:
"On October 14, 2004, the fingerprints for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were collected and are pending review."

My Q is whether LUD of Primarary beneficiary 'do' or 'do not' change after FP?

Here is my interpretation from Info collected from this forum & my lawyer.
May 2003 was a critical month and USCIS had made some decisions at that time. Based on that they stopped taking early FP and thought of it at the last stage of GC (as it used to be earlier) not to save our money but their time so they can clear more I485 case.
After BackLog reduction movement they must have thought of approving I 485 in 15 months and hence started early FP again.and just wait friends....if they are not able to clear Backlog, soon you will start hearing Priorty Dates ...

We have to keep watch on that. Somebody in this forum was talking of possible late approval of March, April, May' 03 then after May'03 filers.

My lawyer refered my case only which was filed that time(May'03). He contacted USCIS for the info. Sorry for the confusion.
 
Does anyone know if May-03 NSC 485 filer wud be affected by priority date retrogressing in future? I believe 485 adjudication is put on hold unless your PD is current.

I dont think this is ture...as we see today someone got approved and that person ND is Oct or Nov 03.
 
Immgirationwatch.com shows quite a few approvals for June, July, August 2003, none for May 03 though :mad:

There were also a few cases approved for Jan, Feb 03.

Priority dates might or might not affect May 03 filers (most probably not). Depends on what the priority date is. If it is late 2002 or early 2003, then we won't get affected. In rare cases, if they set priority date to before our priority date, then our 485 applications will be on a hold.

PS: I saw a lot of posts on Rupnet today for FP2 for Jan and Apr filers. Maybe there a light at the end of the tunnel soon.

I'm thinking two months from now.. i'll received a letter from NCS saying that my case is transfered to local INS.. becoz.. i filed my 485 before marriage.. and after one year i applied for spouse.

2 EAD 08/26/04 AD

Spouse:I-485 :RD 06/18/2004 .. ND 06/23/04

my info almost same as yours 485 (May 03) and FP (March O4)...I think I will here something from USCIS during May 05....based on their current processing speed...yours might approve without transfer.....

Guess what

I got FP notice at last.
Today I got mail for my first FP after One and half year of filing I485.
 
Lakshya - congrats! no, I haven't received my first FP yet but I am hopeful now as my date is about the same as yours.
