I heard the magic words before the weekend. Our (me & my wife) AOS applications were approved on 11th Dec. From LC to I485 application it took little less than 2 years (out of which there was a significant delay of three month from my side before filing I485 because I had difficulty in getting my wife\'s birth certificate)

Details -
NO RFE in the whole process starting with Labor
Tracking name - cheetah (in PCee\'s tracking list)
Category EB2 RIR (India)
Priority Date - June 29,2000
WAC # - WAC01228xxxxx
I140 approved - 1/3/2001
FP schedule - 11/23 (for me in SF) (12/11) (for my wife in SJ)
Both of us did FP in SJ on 11/16
EAD approved - 10/30/2001 (never received EAD in mail probably because we
changed address). Got my "interim" EAD done from SJ INS on 12/26
I485 Receipt date 5/4/01 Notice Date - 7/6/01
Approval Date - 2/11/02 (again I am asked to go to SF and my wife is aksed to go to SJ for stamping)

We are planning to go to SF together. I have couple of questions -

We are asked to carry 2 ADIT photographs. Are they same as the photographs we submitted during I485 ?
How long does it take in SF office ? I heard that SF office is better than SJ as far as wait time is concerned ?
Do they allow drinking water , milk inside the INS building (because we have to take our two year old daughter along) ?
We moved after filing I485. Do they ask for correct address during passport stamping or we need to mention it explicitly ?

I will appreciate if I get the inputs from the folks who have already visited SF INS office.

This a great forum. I would like to thank all the folks like PCee who keep this forum active & alive. I wish & pray for all of you who are waiting for I485 aproval, that you will see your approval soon. There is no doubt that , it is a tedious and frustrating wait but there is light at the end of the tunnel.....

Since we are keeping track of total approvals by weeks, I would like to mention that wife\'s green card was approved at the same time as mine. All the information about her dates is exactly the same as mine.

I heard our (me & my wife) AOS petition has been approved on 2/15/02.

PD :11/6/00 (EB2/RIR/India)
140 AD : 4/1/01
485 RD : 5/24/01
485 ND : 7/30/01
FP :10/17/01 (Scheduled 11/6/01)
485 AD : 2/15/02
Location : LA

It took like 16 months for the whole Process.

I am a silent visitor to this site and thanks to many individuals to their selfless service like Ciba,Pcee,Jony, etc..

Case approved !

Hi All,
Last night when the AVM was checked, it went as
"This case is approved. On Feb 15th the approval notice was mailed ..."

On Jan 25th, I sent photo copies of recent pay stubs and W-2
form (of the primary applicant) by FedEx to INS at the address :
California Service Center
24000 Avila Road, 2nd Floor, Room 2302
Laguna Niguel, CA 92677

I am not sure if it helped in anyway. But it did not slow down.
Since I read that when they call for RFE, they ask for these
documents, I thought it might certainly help sending these in
any situation.

While waiting for our approval notice to arrive by mail so we can
go for passport stamping, we hope and pray that you get your
approvals soon too.

I had sent six the first time, well I guess someone ;-) mispalced them. Resent 2 as requested, hope for the best now!

Received courtsey copy from INS yesterday. AVM still says..on 1/11 processing has resumed resumed.

rd 05/01 - FP not received

rd 05/01 FP not received yet. Domicile - Boston, Case filed from Oakland ? Called up CSC, rep said that i haven\'t received FP because my case has not been assigned yet and told me that they are processing only Jan\'2001 cases as of now. Reading through all these posts, seems like that what she told me wasn\'t very accurate !!! If anyone has any information, or could advise a course of action, please help !!
