Maternity Leave while on H1B

My employer offers up to 12 weeks unpaid FMLA, which is applicable for childcare. If I take this leave, will my H1B status be disrupted?

Thanks, Ginnu!

Will these three months count towards my 6 year H1B cap or not?

Also, if I decide to take additional couple of months to stay with the baby, will that change anything, or, as long as I can come back, I am OK?

---------- will count

----------- you are OK , read FMLA search the web or talk to your lawyer/employer

I have a question in this regard, please advice.

Me and my wife are in US. I'm on H1 and my wife is on H4. She is pregnant. After the born of a baby, Is it correct that our baby will get Citizenship here and the parents will get Green Card?

If that is correct, then shall i continue my work on H1?

Please advice.

It is correct your baby is US citizen, but you and your wife can not
be PR just because you have US citizen baby. To support GC for parents,
your kids has to be over 21 years old.

After the born of our baby, what status we get? I mean if we want to stay in US after completion of our SIX YEARS H1 then can we stay there?

Parents do not get any status out of giving birth to their baby, which means
you remain H1 status if you are H1 now.
you can not stay beyond 6 years with H1 even though you have US citizen baby, unless you have pending immigration petition(permanent resident application).
