checked the ARS. It said that they are still processing 04/26/2001 RIR case......:confused: :confused: :mad:

What are they doing?
Are they already gone for the holidays?:confused: :confused:

Frankly I see no hope in MD processing, if economy would be little better, everyone wuuld have shift the job to fast processing state labor, I always pity myself, that I caught in this 245i mess.

seems like no end....:(

They started 27th
but it will take another 4/5 months to finish it
and 30th still there

By the way,
My lawyer informed me that an interim information about the PERM will be released in April 2003 and effective July 2003.
I don't know what the interim will mean to us.

For me, as file 04/30/01, the PERM will not help.:confused:

My lawyer informed me that an interim information about the PERM will be released in April 2003 and effective July 2003.
I don't know what the imterim will mean to us.

For me, as file 04/30/01, the PERM will not help.:confused:

New Labor in another state

Dear felllow users,

I have seen one of you said move to another fast moving LC processing state to get your LC cleared. Since I am also one of you get trapped in MD, I decided to file in Maine since it is current in LC. Guess what happened to me.

We put the ad. in local news paper and paid the lawyer. When we about the file the LC in local state we had been told that we have to give an ad. in a magazine and internet which cover all over USA. for ex. ( PC magazine, computer world, dice.com, monster.com)

Then only the application will be considered as a RIR.

So we coudn't apply LC in maine. I just want to tell all my fellow users here, don't make any decision based on LC. Luckily we have a office in both the states. So I am still employed. If i would hace accepted an offer some remote state for just LC, imagine where i am going to be today. So friends do some reserch before file LC in another state.

The moral is "DON'T WASTE MONEY FOR NOTHING" like me.

Hey Leo James,

Thanks a lot for this info, I may be one among those hunderds whose looking for another state companies (like DE, WV), your advice would definately be helpful.

Its sad, I dont see any hope in MD state processing in coming months :(

Who can use PERM from the following stages ???

- Federal labor
- State labor
- BOTH.

A pessimistic question: How does the 245(i) deadline work ?
Do they process the applications post-marked upto 30th April OR do they process the applications received by 30th April ? If its the former one, thats bad news. It will extend our pain by another 6-7 months...

I think it's later one, My file was sent on Oct 29 and my recipt date is Nov 1.

Garfield, your lawyer is right. Some people just don't get receipts at all, some - with delays...

It is taking an average of 2 months for the last days of april.. Lets hold tight, hope and pray that april gets over by May - June 2003.

Just a thought ...
