Still waiting for PP

As per FedEx tracking status, My application SL RD is 10th March. I am still waiting............

Today I called up VISA office and representative told me that they received my application on April 15th and now they are processing April 12th application so by the end of next week, I should get my passport back. I think they are re-entering
March application (for few dates) again into their system and issuing new RD.

FYI

After waiting such a long time, I got my PP yesterday.

On June 12, I had faxed a request to St.Louis office with my passport details and FedEx track number. I don't want to say that I got my PP because of the fax message. But sharing this info to you (I was unable to reach DC office due to waiting time)

Hope all March pending cases will be cleared soon.

Hi all marchers,
After patiently waiting and reading all your helpful and informative posts I called the visa office just now. After waiting for 35 mins. a a lady (visa specialist!!) tells me my applicaiton has not been processed. So I asked her the date they received it and she says March 17th. My fedex tracking shows they signed for it on March 4th!
I have been told it will take an unbelievable 2 weeks more. I was hoping I'd get mine soon since sk_chicago has the same date as I do. But its total chaos out there, to put it mildly, so take a deep breath and wait all Marchers who haven't got their pp back yet! I have disppointed my 8 yr old daughter who has been waiting all year to go to India for her summer vacation. My heart goes to all of you who have had to cancel important events abroad because of this March Madness!

Really the VISA specialists are going crazy, two days back my reciept date (DC) was told Apr 12, yesterday it was 14, today she even refused to divulge it. All I got is that its going to take a long time, and I can either wait or withdraw...:mad:

i think so the visa specialist meant DC date and not the date it was recieved in st.louis

i got my visa revalidated on june 24th..
i sent to SL march 5th, they received it on march 6th.
after a long wait i got my visa....

my dear friends please be patient..u will all get it sooner or later..

Today I received my PP with VISA stamped.
SL RD: 03/10/2003
PP received: 06/30/2003

Wondering as to how I should deal with this since I still haven't received my visa.
St.Louis Recv'd date: March 5th/6th.

No status from VISA office?

This morning I called DC office and the VISA specialist simply refused to give me the status.
Did anybody else faced the same situation?

I just called the visa office, got thru in 30 mins. I was told our passports were approved on 27th June, printed on 1st and sent out today!?? I will believe it only when I actually see it. My SL SD was March 03.

I have the same case. my visa was approved on 27th. i spoke to the visa officer this morning and she told me that it has not been printed yet. she was not sure when would it be printed?

i have booking for 9th july! Please do update here.

do i have any hope? i don't know.

yes, will post updates. I feel sorry about your travel plans to India being made into such a thriller event by the visa department! Personally, I think July 9th is cutting it very fine, if they have not yet printed it. You may be better off postponing your tickets at a smaller cost, than just cancelling it and losing all the money, depending on your circumstances of course...

when are you expecting your passport? are your expecting a fedex or ??? did you try to track in case if you are expecting by fedex?

Just want to know whether they really did mail them out.

I'm glad things are moving for most people on this thread. Hopefully I will get my PP too soon. I already had to re-schedule my trip once. My new departure date is 7/16. I will keep my fingers crossed.
Any other Marchers still waiting?
My SL RD date is 3/11 :confused:

I did send a FedEx prepaid billl but didn't include a FedEX cover. Also, I was not expecting all this drama so I didn't make a note of the FedEx # on my return bill before sending it off...I am kicking myself for it now. I have no way of tracking it unfortunately. The credit card doesn't seem to show the transaction until 3 weeks later
