Its not ingorance, but is your misunderstanding. INS received my passport as I could see from my FedEx tracking and I have been tracking my return packet also. this is the reason why I have mentioned that I am awre of the the software problem at INS. I hope you understand it better..

FYI, you can track the DC date only if you call the DC office.

St.Louis Received March 6th.

Still Waiting..No sight of the FedEx tracking number.

Even thats not entirely true ..as the IIOs at DC office will not always give out the DC RD to everyone! I could not get lucky on the one time i tried!!

SL send date : 03/04/03
SL received Date:03/05/03
Visa Stamped Date : 06/16/03
Visa Received Date : 06/18/03.

hello all:
instead of enclosing a return envelope, I just had attached a return receipt from FedEx, Now am worried if it might become a problem. Incase it becomes an issue, will visa office be responding via post/email call etc... or should we call them up after some time to findout if it was posted back safetly.

did someone come across one such situation....

fedex has big time biz in the DC center to despatch the applications ..so they must be having tons of those empty envelopes lying around ..

Today I got my Passport Back after stamping. It was a Long wait.....

St Louis RD: March 5, 2003
DC Date: Match 14, 2003
Visa Received : June 21, 2003.

DS156 form entry mistake:

For Entry 36 where it asks for Anyone filed for your Immigrant Visa
I put NO.

But I have an approved I-140.
People are saying I need to put YES there.

What should I do now ? Should I withdraw my application?
It is amost 12 weeks I sent my passports to St Louis for stamping.

Please let me know.

these things generally happen. you might get lucky and they may approve it, as generally H and L are dual intent visas. Else, they may return the application in which case you may have to re-fill DS-156 and attach a letter (explaining your ignorance) ..
