I called Today Morning tocheck the status..... they said my Visa was issued on 24 th..... so I should get it soon....

should i call them or wait

SL date is March 30, 2004,
appan got it stamped his SL date same as mine.
Do i call them and ask them or wait for some more days.
What are the things they will ask when i call them to know whether my passport is stamped and when i will get it.
 
fyi, when I called them (about 2 months after I filed for the revalidation), the lady refused to give me any infos and said that they would check their files only if you have sent all the docs for more than 12 weeks.
You can always try calling them, it doesn't hurt either..
 
Dont go by when other people are getting their passports. You have to understand that it says on theirwebsite it takes 10 working days from St Louis to D.C . And from DC date it takes abt minimum 10 weeks. So u add 10 working days to ur St Louis date and then count 10 weeks from that day.

If thats over, then u can call and if anyone refuses to give u info u can tell them that its been 10 weeks after DC date and u were worried abt it. Maybe at that point the person answering ur phone will understand that ur concern is reasonable and according to their processing times.

Address on I797 is nothing to do with H1 revalidation, most cases the address on 797 will be either attorney or employer.

Hey newamerican

If u are concerned abt ur PP , u can try to get a copy of money order or cashiers check that was encashed thru ur bank. This way u have two proof one FedEx receipt and second copy of encashed check that you have sent ur application.Just my opinion
 
Got h1b & h4 visa for my wife stamped on March 25 by Fedex. Sent to St. Louis on March, 29.

For those of you, who keep asking, how to answer some of the don't-make-sense questions in the DS-156 form, just put in whatever you think is the appropriate response. Just don't leave it blank or put N/A.

Eg. When do you intend to arrive in US.
Answer: Already in US

Today i called them to find about it, they are reluctant to give any information asking me to wait for 12 weeks from it is received at Washington office. No choice i have to wait for 2 more weeks and then call them again.
Is there anyone else who is waiting for for the PP, whole SL date is march month?

My employer filed for labor certification should i answer YES or NO
 
I sent MARCH 26TH, NOTHING GOT ANYTHING,

I sent my pp on March 26th. I did not get anthing yet. I called today. they told me..wait upto 4 months. if u will not receive then they will look into.

... wait for 4 months! man.. thats bad... I would recommend that u take a print out of the web site where they say 10-12 weeks from washington date and keep calling them until u get to hear some thing positive.
 
akp158 , did you filled your ds 156 electronically ? Because I think that people who file electronically are getting faster processing.

I entered data and generated barcode. ? is that electronic ? then YES.

I am not sure..only I am person does not recevied ? I check with bank. check is cashed on 12th April.

I called 2 days back they told me wait until end of this month , if u do not receive then call us , we will trace your passport.
 
Just Called - got Info

I called today morning. there was one good lady. she asked my passport number , verify last name, first name . she told me we have received your passport on May First week. but my check was cashed April 12th. I do not know where delay. but I have prepaid envlope tracking number on Mar last week.

But now I have to wait more 3 to 4 weeks.
