Hi

It’s been nearly 4 and half years since I filed asylum , tried senator and congressman office as well but no luck

I am going for mandamus now , it will be for Arlington office

Any ideas from anyone who has been through it ? Pros / cons

How much did you pay to attorney ? Etc

Success factors ?

Hi, I waited 7 years.

Interview Jun 26/2024
Asylum Approved Oct 3/2024

My lawyers are great Murray Osorio.
They fee for mandamus 3200

For me was a success.

Arlington as well

I heard about them just recently from someone else who got their case approved through mandamus , I am surprised to see you are been with them as well, they gotta be good

3200 is exactly what the other person told me inclusive of all fees like court fee, admin fee like paperwork / print / mailing etc + their legal fee all inclusive

Was that the same with you ?

Yes, they are my asylum/Mandamus lawyers I love them.
 
Not looking good so far,

Stuck with lawyer, he agreed to file mandamus in a week but its been 3 weeks so far and he isn't responding to any of my calls or emails

Did you end up using Murray Osorio? I contacted them, and they are asking for a $200–250 initial consultation fee. Our case has been pending for a little over three years, I just want to know if they take 3 years cases.
 
The lawyer who worked with one of my friends (filed his mandamus case), moved from Osorio to this other place I am stuck with now

No consultation fee here

But yes , osorio does charge 200 consultation fee

If you go online (like insta gram / tik tok etc ) there are some lawyers who claim minimum 3 years pending asylum is considered as delay and should be filed with mandamus

But in my case I was told 4 years is the number puts weight on

Yes, I’ve seen a lawyer on YouTube who says that at least three years is enough to file a mandamus. However, another lawyer, who isn’t based in Virginia, told me that Virginia lawyers usually require at least four years before filing a mandamus.

I’m stuck now and very frustrated, not knowing what will happen after the new administration takes office.

My asylum lawyer who I originally filed my asylum through gave me 4K

I’d say don’t wait and file your mandamus , if non Virginia lawyers are taking 3 years pending case and winning … then it’s working

Murray OSorio are great lawyers and Brian mannnig is great too.

My original lawyer, who filed our asylum case, doesn’t handle mandamus lawsuits. He recommended another lawyer to us, but this lawyer doesn’t have a Virginia license, so he can’t file the lawsuit in Virginia. Although he agreed to take the case, he mentioned the case might be moved to Virginia, at which point we would need to hire another Virginia lawyer.
