Loosing my mind

I'm in 3rd year of pharmacy school ...
I might find out in 3-4 days ??? don't know for sure....I sure hope i did better than I felt/feel ... I only needed a 60% in that exam to pass the module (Therapeutics)
oh and it's not a final exam for graduation; it's a final for this semester and one specific module. (which one has to repeat next yr if failed)

8 years without even one visit? That's extreme. Unless you're an asylee or refugee, short trips back to your country of citizenship aren't going to jeopardize your N-400.
 
Washburn27, wow that's a difficult program. There are pharmacists in my family and they were trying to get me to become one ... I choose accounting, lol. They enjoy their career so much. My aunt just retired and has fun playing tennis. I'll be at work :) Keep us posted!

Jackolantern, last time I came back from Canada it was Summer 2000. The border agents scared me bad. They pulled me aside and pressured me to say that I will come back once I have my school completed. I didn't think it was right. Then 2001 happened and I almost got deported as my F-1 student visa didn't get correctly stamped by those mean border agents. The process frighten me. Tons of things happend that I couldn't travel (got married, when back for my masters, then started a business) and here we are. Grand-ma really wants to see me. So I think I will have to travel next summer. I will get an affidavit from the family to say I visited her. With my luck if I ever get interviewed my little travel will be used against me.

one more final to go tomorrow, and then free for a few weeks, before the last school semester of pharmacy school begins ... and then just 1 yr of rotations...end is near
 
Congrats .. I knew it :) I'm happy for you. That's so great. It's nice to see the end of school sometime. I remember the stress involved and planning for after school. It was fun. I miss it. Yep, I didn't think I would say that :) when I was still studying, lol

On 12/2 I called USCIS and they transferred me to an IO. The confirmed that they have sent out a finger print notice on that day. The office of Congressman Jeff Flake called me today :) they are really nice and Kelly told me that they finally transferred my file from California to Phoenix on 12/2/08. She said I should be placed in queue for interview.

the whole time since 10/01/08 I was told my file was placed inq ueue for interview on 9/22/08. I am so happy I filed the WOM and I will pressure it.

Actually, if your file was transferred from CSC to your local DO, your IL should have been mailed to you. The standard procedure is for the service center to schedule your interview at your local DO and to subsequently transfer your file there. It is, however, possible that they want to renew your FPs prior to scheduling an interview. As I've mentioned in another thread, it certainly seems that your case is nearing its resolution.
 
Kelly from the office of Cognressman Jeff Flake emailed me a reply she just received.

They confirmed my schedule for Tucson FP on 12/16, however they re-scheduled me to Phoenix on 12/18. Now what should I do? I've read on threads sad stories of people were told to disregard the first notice and go the the second sent notice and then their FPs are never received by FBI. That is scary.

Should I take my Phx FP and do a Walk-In when I can and then follow up with FBI to make sure they have processed it?

The IO at USCIS phone told me not to do walk-in in Arizona as it will be an issue.
 
Phoenix may not allow walk ins, but you can try. Since your FP appointment is only 2 weeks away you won't gain much time in doing a walk in.
Once you do the FP, call the FBI after a few days to see if they cleared.
 
Do you think I will be a weird case again and they will see I didn't show up for 1 appointment and just classify it as a no show? This ... too complicated for me. Should I go to both :) lol
 
Don't worry, you won't be considered a no show since your other appointment has been scheduled already.

Just received a letter from CIS Obud ... dated this week confirming I'm stuck in name check and to follow up in 6 months. I am so tired of this. Why, why do they do this? I called USCIS this morning to verify on my FP appointment. I try to be nice and nice because I want these people in good mood. The lady was talking to me like I was a child and couldn't understand anything in English. So rude.

I would suggest amending your WOM and adding the FBI as a defendant, on the basis of USCIS Ombudsman's response. If your name check is really complete, then it'll be a good way to demonstrate to the judge the incompetence of USCIS.

Passed that last one also ...I had a low grade going into the final but I studied the whole night before the final, and did pretty good on the final so my final course grade was a very high C (I'm fine with it; with all the stress this month, I just wanted to pass, and not having to repeat it)

sorry I couldn't advise you on the WOM stuff; I hardly know anything about them, but hang on, some others here will soon advise.

Wow, I guess Emilio (Gonzalez, Jock's predecessor who was directly responsible for the summer '07 catastrophe) screwed things up so badly that poor ol' Jock couldn't even hang on for a year!:rolleyes:

In all seriousness, though, this should have been expected, due to the upcoming changes in administration. I'm not exactly sure what would be the correct way to address this in your WOM, but I'm sure that another director (acting or otherwise) would be appointed in Jock's place. This one is a real stumper. Check with the guys in the lawsuit sticky for their opinion.
