It looks like it would be about 2 weeks lag. Wow, that's a lot by any means.

I read in forums that the online case-lookup is not up to date. In many cases even after approval, the online status continues to show as pending. Which suggests that there is some discrepancy in the online system.

I also believe that the online case-lookup is not up to date. For my wife and daughter, we received the fingerprinting notice with notice date 10/17/2007. But still on online the LUD is 10/11/2007.

I didn't get finger print notice yet. Also EAD got approved for my wife. Mine still pending. Does anyone else has the same problem? Do I need to contact them?

AP Approval Notice Sent

Just checked the CRIS web site and found out that they have sent our AP approval notices. But, I did not receive any email update.

Don't just trust these automated emails. I am glad that your AP is approved, I hope you had a good time doing the fingerprinting as well.

I received my EAD card today in the mail... , 73 days from the filing of papers. Now onto FP and AP next. I see from other posters in similar time lines that the FP appointment should be close.

Check with your lawyer. For me also I didn't get the FP notice. I asked my lawyer and then they checked their copy and found that USCIS put my Lawyer's address as my address and scheduled an appointment near my lawyer's home town.

Thanks for the heads up ksfromMD. I wonder how can this blatant error come to be. They must have a very manual process if they mix addresses like this.

Just an update : I called the customer service and they said I can appear to closest ASC on the same date.

I also noticed that TSC was slow on sending FP notices. I think they are concentrating more on EAD. Couple of my friends applied to TSC with RD 08/09/2007, still didn't receive their FP notice. Mine was also applied to TSC, but I got receipt notices from NSC. I got my FP notice also from NSC. I haven't received my EAD yet.

I don't know if this measure is accurate but I think that judging by the ND of the receipts I should probably receive AP some time next week or possibly the week after that.

The annoying part is that the USCIS website is not updated so I cannot even find my status online until then.

I have a possibly unrelated question: is FP part of the I-485 processing or part of other work? In other words, if I start doing the FP does it mean that I am going next to NC? I really have no idea how many steps make the I-485 processing. Any insights are appreciated.

That's what I was thinking but was not sure. I didn't get the FP notice yet. I'm hoping I'll get it in the next two weeks. I filed the very last day in August (17) so I think I'm about as far back as I can be . However, based on empirical studies of other's signatures so far I am expecting to get the FP about 2 weeks from EAD.
