Legal age for serving in Army or National Guard?

This is a guess and from talking to my Husband a LONG time ago I think he said 45 but I might be wrong. I just tried to do some search but couldn't find anything. I can ask around my Military Friends

At what age one can no longer be drafted or mobilized?

The maximum age you can be currently drafted in the US military is 25. There currently isn't an active military draft in the US and it requires congress to enact one.
There's been some talk in recent years to reinstate the draft and possibly increase the age limit, but so far no bill has passed in congress to change this.

If we get another war monger in the white house, you better believe the draft will be reinstituted.

How about National Guard or any other military unit? I have no idea how things works here and I would like to learn. Are you required to join reserve units or national guard? Are they state or federal army?

I doubt that once you reach 25, you’ll no longer be called in any type of military in case of emergency. Ladybuggy might be correct - 45 years old.

If there really was an emergency that necessitated such a large scale draft, it would most probably be World War 3. I don't think we'll be having one of those any time soon. Someone will push the proverbial red button way before a conflict escalates to the proportions of a world war.

There is no requirement to join the National Guard, Reserves or any other US military unit. The only requirement is for you to register with selective service if you're a citizen or resident male between the ages of 18-25.Even then, the government can't force you to war if you're a conscientious objector.
Age limits may be different if you have past US military experience.
Now if there was a National Emergency at the level of a World War, then who knows what would happen.
