Response to NOF's

Not that I know of. I am worried  and wish they speed up things a bit.

Anybody else have further experience or input into this?

processing dates

I was under the impression that the processing dates for DOL on immigration..com mean that there is atleast one case pending on that date. It says, 05/2003. What does that mean? I don't think Sprint cases are even touched since a long time and over that, the continuous re-org does look scary!

Let's hope DOL begins processing Sprint (or Kansas) cases for a change! Good luck to all fellow " GC seekers thru' Sprint! "

Sprint stopped H1B extension!

I heard from my colleague today that Sprint has also stopped H1B extension.

FYI. Sprint already stopped applying new green cards.

Any commments!

YES and NO

H1B extentions and Green Card processing are done on case by case basis after consultation with the manager/director etc.,

I know someone who got his/her GC process started in second quarter of this year and I guess it was because that person was badly needed and has too much business knowledge to let go.

Also, if you look at the result from lcstatus email, you can easily tell that there is more than one person who got his GC process kicked off in the last 3-4 months!

kslc,

Of the people who you know have got their green card process kicked off with Sprint in the recent past, would you know if they were allowed to use RIR route or Non-RIR route?

I have been told even if Sprint does my Green Card they can only persue Non-RIR route as posting an ad at this tme is not possible.

Thanks,

RIR

Mine was filed in RIR , Sept of last year. But since then Sprint had so many Layoffs, and probably tired of providing responses to NOFs they get on the LC cases, this might (non RIR) might be new route they are taking.
i heard there are no more gc processing by sprint. if they are doing it for you, i sugesst you go ahead and start the process right away and dont care about the filing type.

webcast

Did anyone apply for 7th year H1B extention thru Sprint? Are they willing to do that? The answer in the webcast was not quite clear about the policy.

route

downinflorida,

The case I know was little different. They applied an approved labor to this guy as he had less than 10 months left on his visa. More than that, this guy was damn brilliant and very knowledgeable for them to loose. The answer to your question - it was RIR.

7th Year Extension

Sprint has filed 7th extension for me.
Sprint will support any gc's they filed so far, problem is for new cases.

Following is the Sprint case. Still not approved. :(

Received Regional Office: 06/24/2002
Current Status : NOF Rebuttal Received On 11/07/2002.

Does any one know what's going on?

I received KS state approval on my LC last Sept 2002, and it went to Chicago for Fed approval. It should have been approved in Dec 2002, but all was put on hold.

I notice that the regional approval current date is May 2003, and here we are now in Aug 2003.

I have to wonder if Sprint is holding up the process by not responding to NOF's and RFE's? Does anyone know??

In the meantime, they are applying for my H1B 3 year extention.

  :(

NOF Rebuttals

I don't think Sprint is holding up the process. To my knowledge, they have sent responses to most of the NOFs. That's why most of the cases are in 'NOF Rebuttal received' status. It's the DOL Chicago that needs to make the decision.

Response to NOF's

Yes, I agree with gc. Sprint has been responding to the NOF's promptly, just that we don't get to see what the response is :) I hope the DOL makes a good decision and processes these cases at the earliest.

I am worried that they are going to wait until September or so, when the business unit consolidation takes place. I just hope there are no more layoffs to aggravate the already pitiful process. Let's all pray and hope for the best.

Cheers

Yes, I would probably have to agree with you both. I guess I'm just venting.

But - and help me with this one - why is the current date now at May 2003? Is the DOL expecting more justification out of Sprint than other companies?

I mean, who/what are these other applications that are getting approved?

Anything happening?

Hey folks

Anything happening at all on the labor front? One of my friend's attorney mentioned that the DOL is going to review Sprint cases in September, if there are no more layoffs. Did anybody else hear that?

Please do keep us posted
Thanks

That is "good" news if they start in Sep. I heard they will process sprint case in Aug long time before, but since Aug has almost passed, and there is no news, so I doubt they will process on time. I only think it as good news becuase it is better than our application queueing there.

what would be the possible results? approved, remand to state, or 2nd NOF? any ideas?

The processing times were updated today...looks like June 2003 in Chicago. It sure is disappointing to see that none of the Sprint cases are following those timelines.

Does anyone have any more updates?
