Land POE GC only

Hi everyone...

Had a question.. can one enter the US by land POE just on GC if I do not have a paspport? Am a PR since Jan 08. Also I will be entering by car
with CDN license plates. Is that a problem? Still noy fully relocted.

Currently, you can enter with GC only.

You need to get plated where you live, so provincial plates may raise the question "where do you actually live', which will require careful expalnation.

You may be questioned on that. Just explain the situation that you still haven't fully set up residency in the US.

Also I will be entering by car

Do you mean reentry permit? That won't necessarily help you if you plan to continue residing in Canada. Even with a reentry permit, you're expected to maintain ties to the US, such as having your car registered in the US, not Canada.
