June'2004 visa revalidation tracker

hi oajnabi, mbmisc

can you tell from looking into your visa as to when it was issued.I have been told that my visa has been issued but i don't see the passport picked up by fedex. i want to know how long it takes them from printing the visa to sending it to fedex.

my driver's license is expiring on 8/28. Not sure whether I get my stamped passport by then.

can anyone who has got his pp back from washington tell me that at what time approximately his/her passport got picked up by fedex.
I talked to a person at washington. she told me that my visa was printed on 8/4 but i haven't seen the fedex pickup my pp.
anyone with similar experience???

Just cool down like your alias :) Just kidding ok! Maybe I am taking things lightly coz I got my stamped PP. Anyway, here are all dates in my case

SL Recd. 06/12/2004
MO encashed 06/23/2004
DC Recd. 07/21/2004
Visa stamped 08/04/2004
UPS picked up 08/06/2004 (Evening around 8pm EST)
Recd. 08/10/2004

indgc123, you don't need the visa stamping in your passport to renew your license..

take a copy of your 797 approval notice to the DMV center and you will get your DL renewed till the approval expiry date...

Thanks for your info.

I live in NJ and I hold NJ driver's license.

I sent my original I-797 approval notice + passport for revalidation. I thought that NJDMV requires passport + original I-797 to renew the license.

Please let me know even a photocopy of my I-797 is also sufficient for renewal.

indgc123, I live in MN and they didn'y ask for the original... wait till 8/23 or 24. hope you will get the passport otherwise go to DMV on that date, explain your situation to them they will understand...
 
NJ driving

In NJ driving license as far as I know required passort and another 4 forms of identification.
 
worried about the news

I saw a news from Luckonwala that for 4000 passport was sent back to St Loius for data entry . Those for end of June to first week of July . Any body has any news on that? :(

thanks mbmisc; i am trying to stay cool as much as i can :) .

in the meanwhile,I found that there is atleast one guy whose visa was approved 6 days ago but he hasn't received it yet. so i am not alone (a minor relief).

but on the other hand..i also talked to the officer in washington, she said that they send the pps as soon as they are stamped (which is a little disconcerting).

anyways..., guys if and when you receive your pps please also post the day the visa was stamped along with the day you received your pp. the stamp date is printed on the visa.

Update

I got the news that PPs received from 6/25 onwards there is a HUGE influx. The volume is so high that instead of 10 days for data entry in St Loius it is taking more time. Remember they enter data after check is encashed. So my cash is encashed on 7/7 so normally it should have reached on 7/17. But looks like it will be delayed.
