Got the passports stamped (special registration contries)
Hi
This forum has been very helpful... I've been tracking the visa on it regularily... We got our passports stamped yesterday. Me and my spouse are both from special registration countries ( different countries though)...
We had a cream colored background in the pictures but that doesn't seem to have mattered... My spouce had registered with the INS when he was asked to.... The employment letter was not that detailed... Just the basics.... Even there was a major mistake in my I-94... The INS had mixed up my country of birth with my country of citizinship... and I didn't wait to get the correction from the INS... We sent the passports one month and a half after the expiration of the previous visa.... Don't take any chances though, if they are looking for a reason to reject you , you will make it easier for them if your pappers are not orderily..Try to error proof your documents as much as possible...
I think it all comes down to luck...
For special registration people I think if you are married , it's better to send your passports as a couple, even if as in my case it's much easier to revalidate from consulate abroad when you travel, since it seems that they are mostly rejecting passports sent by only males of a certain age and nationality... You might have a better chance that way... Then again it might have nothing to do with it... Just pure luck... But don't despair some SR people are getting the stamp....
I forgot to say that SL recieve date was June 13 . Visa issued Sep 17 and passport revieved Sep 18... WE never called DC center... We just checked Fedex tracking every now and then....
I hope this has been helpful... and I hope you will all get your visas stamped quickly and with no problems
