Received EAD card but not my wife\'s

I received my EAD card on 11/17 but not my wife\'s both of us were approved initially on 11/06 (but AVM changed to 11/11 recently), I still have not received the EAD card for my wife and same with her FP notice (I had to take the attorney\'s copy for her), I called IIO today and she verified that the card was sent to the correct address, I do not know what else to do but wait.....

Received EAD cards for me and my wife on 11/26.

Completed FP today (11/27) as scheduled at Oakland.

Same here. I received my EAD yesterday but not my wife\'s. Don\'t know what to do. (RD6/11, ND8/17, EAD11/13).

Got the EAD cards

As per AVM, my wife\'s and my EADs were approved on 11/20 and we got them on 11/27.

I am completing 180 days from the RD (06/11) by next week end.
I also received my EAD card last week (11/24) (WAC-01-259).
Waiting for FP (San Jose) !!

My H1-B is valid till 04/01/2002.
My lawyer wants me to apply for the H1-B extension now.
Is it really required to extend the H1-B at this point of time ?
What are the advantages & disadvantages with this ?

If Yu apply h1 extension and maintain the status as non immigrant till Yu get approval will be the safe way. If Yu wishes to use ead then Yr h1 will be void and in future if 485 is denied, Yu can go to applllate and it will be lengthy procedure to get GC(once denied for any reason). That\'s the reason most of the people are maintaining their h1 be status instead of optING ead. It is up to Yu to decide.

FP done today, they asked for EAD....

FP done today in San Diego--
Beside the passport and driving license
they also asked for EAD ( without EAD..they might not allow me to do
fingerprint)

STATUS UPDATE - Received EAD Card

Received EAD Card for me and my wife by mail on 11/26/01 - approved on 11/12/01. No FP notice yet!!
 
You have the luxury of waiting before you decide ...

If your current H1 is valid till April 01, 2002, you have a few months to decide. If I were you I would wait till early March before deciding either way. The speed at which CSC is going presently, you should have your 485 approval by that time. In that case, you/your employer would waste the money spent on an H1 extension(Lawyer makes money though, is that his motivation in pushing to apply for H1 extension this early?). But, if push came to shove, choose H1 over EAD. My 2 cents.
 
I did my FP and I don\'t have my EAD yet...

I just told them I have not gotten an EAD yet. It is a standard question they ask.
 
why they asked EAD for finger print??????

 This is strange that...they really asked EAD\'s Alien registing number
from me...they said..without it I could not do finger print
 I did my finger print in San Diego ..fortunately I got my EAD ten days before my finger print sechedule...

Got EAD card for both I and wife and scheduled for FP today.

I received EAD card for both me and wife on 11/28/01. It was approved on 11/16/01. Today We are going for Finger Printing as scheduled.
 
EAD approval date: 11/7, still haven\'t received the card!

I am in the same boat.. In San Jose area, EAD approved on 11/7/01 but still haven\'t received the plastic card. Getting frustrated.
