July-revalidation applicants tracking

Well, Money order and check case may not be true. I sent money order and still dc rcept dt is 7/23 (sl dt 7/3).
 
I paid via money order and my dates are:-

SL Date: Jul 25
DC Date: Aug 26

The last time I talked to the lady in DC, she said all passports received at SL after July 20 are being delayed by 1 month due to the huge volume of passports.
 
DC phone number

Hi,

Can some one tell me how to find the DC date?. Is there a phone number or web tracking system?.

I sent my PP for stamping on July 16th.

DC date recd. 29th August though SL recd in July 3rd week :-(
Called DC office now as planning to go to india. She said it would take 12 weeks from 29th Aug. Also they are working on Jul 24th cases as of now as per the operator :)

I called the DC office just now, the wait was not 30 mins as most of you said, it was just 5 mins!! And the lady was very polite.

PP RD: No idea!!!

I tis confusing that July 25 has no updates but the ones after it do.

Also I am not sure how the visas are being issued. Looks like its 3 months from SL received date and not necessarily from the DC received date.

I WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST TO ALL OF YOU GUYS IN FUTURE ALWAYS SEND MONEY ORDER FROM POST OFFICE IN OTHER WORDS U S POSTAL MONEY ORDER WHICH IS CLEARED IN MIN TIME

AND FOR SEPECIAL REGISTERATION COUNTRIES CITIZEN ALWAYS SEND PASSPORTS WITH FAMILY THEN U WILL HAVE GOOD CHANCES OF GETTING VISA

How do I find DC receive date? My SL recv date (through FedEx tracking) is July 25th (updated the list already).

Called DC office this morning ,Lady told they are still processing
Jul' 24th Date passports.

I have tickets booked for india trip on Nov'24 , do guys think will i get my passport by then or should i withdraw ?

xrajesh.... I won't take a chance. I myself had to go to India today, but as of today I havn't reveived my passport. I just called the DC office and I was told that my visa is still not issued. My dates were SL 3rd July: DC 25th July. So I would say don't take a chance, if you really wanted to go, withdraw your application.

I tried calling up visa office, but it is closed from 11:00 to 12:00 on wednesdays. Rajesh, that seems like a good idea .. wait for a few more weeks till you get a better idea.

Withdrawal Idea -reg

I am on August thread and my DC Date is Sep 2, 2003. Do you know one thing? I've booked my tickets on Nov 20,2003. I am in worst situation compared to you. Do not take any hasty decision. As per the calculation, you should get your passports before Nov 17,2003. Since you booked your tickets on Nov 24, you are safe. In case if it is delayed more, you can postpone your journey. Withdrawing the passport is not a good idea. If you go out and try to get stamping from US-Consulates, they will do the same process. There is a chance for you to get struck there for more than 3 months.
