I understand your point of objecting to the notion - but there are lot of chinese nationals who visit this forum regularly. Your remark is too generic and may be taken as an insult to them.

It is always wise not to make such a direct remark towords an entire nation.

I didnot point to single country. Did you ever had an Indian shipped illegally. We come here with hard work/skills.
 
I remember that in 1998 - INS had arrested a big racket who used to ship mostly Indians illegally to US - I have met some people in Dunkin Donut's and Indian restaurants who came that way.

Fact is noone is perfect - but I appreciate your sentiment toword's your ( and mine for that matter) motherland.
 
We should all restrain from posting any racial remarks. This forum is a remarkable one because we have people from all races and nationalities here, yet most of us never get into racial or controversial remarks. I am sure that there are hundreds of Pakistanis here but have you ever seen any one posting bad comments about India ? Same is the case with Indians(Hindus).
We never post anything against Pakistanis. This forum should focus on immigration issues and reflect as a platform of educated intellectuals. Remember that this forum is meant for Employment based GC processing only. So almost every one here would be a
highly educated professional with 5+ years of experience.

Do Not forget that your GC will be null and void if your Indian Passport is revoked. The day they stop H1b and L1 , I'll make sure your Passport is revoked........

If you loose job, and GC is not processed, and have to leave US, then
You will not be allowed to step into even Somalia or Afghanistan :D:D forget about US.
You MUST come to India then. So...

1996-2001 it was USA cycle and now it is India cycle. We should be proud that Americans need H1 visa to work in India in future.

I must say that I disagree with you to a certain extent and I do believe in globally free economy. But - I have a question for the people who are objecting. Would they still object to bill to outsourcing if the jobs are shipped to China or Russia tomorow instead of India. I am sure the corporates CEO's won't hesitate to do that if they get a better deal and more or less same service/products from other countries than India?

Again - I don't think regulations will be able to stop outsoursing - not at least in this country ( example - as the manufacturing jobs shifted to third world countries in early 70's and 80's) - but there is scope for debate at least.

If someday my job is getting outsourced, I am not gonna whine and cry to the government to stop this and that, like what you and a bunch of morons gonna do when you've become a citizen!

Those whiners are loosers! If you lose your job, go find a new one (even if you have to get paid less salary) or create a new one! Being a true immigrant you've got to be tough! We are living in a very very very COMPETITIVE world now!
Nobody's gonna hire you if you keep that whining attitude!

By the way ---- let us know if you don't understand what COMPETITIVE means. If you can't stand the competition, go back to your momma! OK????

Outsourcing happens because corportaes are able to buy the same skill and et the job done .. 10 times cheaper in India than they can do here...
(see latest issue of Time magazine for latest stats)

Question is... why are Indian Corporates (Wipro, TCS, Infosys and their ilk) short changing highly qualified Indians ... and allowing Americans to prosper at their cost...

That one was easy - because the corporate Indian CEO's do not actually care about their employee's exactly like their American counterpart. They are jumping in to get their share of the outsourcing pie. I am not disputing that indirectly this greatly helps the Indian economy - at least short term - but I don't see corporate Indian in a humanitarian role - they are in business and they want to make as much profit as quickly as possible in the outsourcing gold rush. If need be - I am sure they will layoff their employee's just as an American comapny would.

Its called the "cost of living"! The Indians there are earning well above the common wages in those places. You cannot expect people to pay the same rate that they pay here... where is the cost saving then? Companies always make money by "short changing employees" cause they are the reason why people have jobs! Without the company there is no employee. Entreprenuers are not communists. They want to make money. Well no one forced them to work in software or in TCS. They work because they want to.

the employees see through this... and demand their money's worth... but hey.. if they too are in for the ride for short term... God save India.. and its economy ...

Cost of living should never be seen in isolation... it shd always be seen in relation to standard of living...

If a person has the required skill and does the same job that s/he would do in the US, then the pay shd be comparable to maintain a comparable standard of living that s/he would maintain in the US ... if not, then it is no different than a Nike Sweat Shop ..
