who gets the receipts?

I got my EAD and AP couple weeks back at home but all the receipts went to my attorney. MD:1/8, RD:1/17,EAD:1/23,AP:1/27,FP?

almost everything, mailed on 1/31. Please let me know. I haven\'t seen a thing!

Seems like yours and mine was mailed on 1/8. So, You and I both receibed the EAD and AP. you already received the FP notice and I have not.
Folks, is this because of EB catagory or location? I am on seattle area and Padma12 is in denver...
Ideas.....

My I-140 got approved last week. I am preparing documents for I-485. My company is not filling for EAD card. Can I apply for it on my own and also what kind of documents are required. Please help.

NSC is just random, they act on a sudden burst of energy and take a break, and repeat. Padma got her
everything within 15 days, I haven\'t seen anything in my mail even after 15 days. There could be an rfe for something
or they just starting getting slow again.

i think there are some local ins that allows to do that. where are
you located? check with them, you need the 485 receipt and ids and fees, they with take a picture and give you an ead. you fill out the form for ead at the center.
 
Guys!!

I have a question regarding the renewal of my H1B visa..
I was just wondering if we can get our H1B renewed after applying
for I 485. Do we need to notify the INS about this new visa?

Gheewalabhai is right. It depends on which city you are from.
I am in Chicago and I had to mail the application to the INS NSC.
I heard few centers give you EAD on the spot if you have I-485 receipt.

I had to wait fot the I-485 receipt and mail a filled appliication
that I downloaded from the INS website.I also had to enclose a
check for $100. I got my EAD in 15 days !!

has passed since you sent applications for 485, AP, and EAD??
 
Can apply for EAD without I-485 receipt, when........

you have your Alien number (A #).

If you have your LIN # (can be found on the back of your cancelled check for filing fees, if you paid with a personal check), or even if you do not have your LIN#, call INS at NSC and the IIO can pull up your case and give you your LIN# (if you don\'t have it) and A#, just from your name (after verifying date of birth and address).

With the A#, you can apply for EAD by mail, or in person at the local offices which do walk-in EADs.

NOTE - EAD fees went up to $120 effective 2/19/02
