Is this true?

I have posted my case on here before and I was advised to contact a good lawyer. I contacted a very reputable lawyer from AILA and he advised me to contact my local congressman as he is able to stop my interview from being forwarded to the consulate abroad and transfer ir to here as i the beneficiary is already in the United States.
Is that true?

Can a congressman really do anything about my case?

here's a link if youd like to get more information about my case

It really devastates me to know that there will be a green card interview waiting for me and i will not be able to attend it

even if you are able to transfer the case back to the US, you are still ineligible for AOS on the basis of this petition. Your problem is not that the case has been forwarded to a consulate, it is that you are ineligible for AOS and you are eligible for a 10 year ban if you leave the States.

When you find your love and she is a USC, then you will be able to AOS, if there is no deportation order for you yet.

What so-called attorney did you speak to?

First, a Member of Congress can do very little with your case beyond status updates. They do not, as a matter of course, intervene unless USCIS is obviously screwing something up.

Second, since you have fallen out of status and your I-130 is based on a family member and not a US citizen spouse or adult child, you are ineligible to adjust status within the United States. You cannot obtain an immigrant visa abroad since you are subject to the 3/10-year re-entry bars and therefore cannot return. There is NOTHING that your Member of Congress can do for you, short of amending the INA or sponsoring private legislation for you. Both are EXCEPTIONALLY unlikely.

Sorry.
