FP quality and FBI background check are two separate things. When you call the FBI they will tell you if the FP quality was good and if the results have been sent back to USCIS. They won't tell you if FP came up with a criminal match or not.
I went for my InfoPass appointment today but didn't get any good answer. IO told me to wait for IL. They said every thing is ok not to worry. When I asked if they can tell me if my background check was clear and she said we can't talk about this.
So in the end I got the same information which I am getting over the phone.
Pretty frustrating - isn't it -what is the point of being able to have an appt. is they are pretty much going to parrot off what CSRs on phone may tell......
oh well... let's hope for the best.
You went for an Infopass to inquire about interview letter eventhough you only applied a little over 2 months ago and did a FP walk in?A couple of interesting observations - in Washington DC USCIS District Office - the security is lax and anyone can walk in and request a case status inquiry..
I almost made it to the 2nd floor Interview Waiting room, but was stopped and was re-directed to the regular info-pass crowd..
After an hour of waiting I was called and my N-400 case was looked up by a polite and cool IO. He basically told me to go home and wait for my Interview Appointment letter. He was amazed that after filing only a month ago - I was already in a 'pending scheduling' status.. but he did not do a single thing to help me, like most IOs - he was there not to help, but to inform... =)
You are good, you are real close, son =)

You'll need to be more patient and wait like everyone else. Tying up USCIS resources by going for an Infopass so early in the process is a waste of time.
