I am little worried that they may question me why i stayed with the GC sponsoring company for only a year after i was approved. Anyone heard if anything like that can happen, something they usually check?

Also, do IO go over all the questions in the n-400, companies you work for/dates and places you lived and dates? Is that something i have to memorize? I don't remember exactly...

Thanks

Don't worry. 1 year is pretty generous (staying with the GC employer).

They are supposed to go through all questions, but sometimes it is just a casual browse, sometimes detailed questioning. You can never predict what they will ask.

Just came back from my interview... I got an n-652 paper saying "Your application has been recommended for approval"...is that it or some other review will happen? He said 2 months for oath letter. The interview was not as bad as i thought it would be, IO was a really nice guy, probably lasted 10 minutes.

Congratulations!! Except for the oath ceremony, you are done. There is no other step. They told me also 6-8 weeks for oath letter, it took less than 2 weeks. Watch your mail.

Why do they say recommended for approval? Does that mean somebody else ( supervisor) rather than the person that interviews you can deny it? Has someone actually have this happen to them? Just curious

Yes, since another IO still has to glance over the facts of your case and make sure all is ok.

I will feel better when i get the oath letter :) ...I wonder too, how often it would be for a supervisor to deny after it was recommended for approval, the reason for it

It likely happens very rarely. It would have to be something that the interviewing IO totally missed or some new information that was received that showed you are ineligible. Even an oath letter offers no guarantees. You can still be pulled away at oath if USCIS discovers something that would make you ineligible.

I am glad to hear that you got your oath letter. We all worry unnecessary and that is the problem. Be patient, you will be OK.
