Folks, I just finished my interview which lasted about 10 mins. I got a very strict officer who did not even let me pull the chair closer to the table. She went through the application quickly, asked to read & write a sentence, asked the 10 questions and said I passed the test. She gave me the N-652 form with the congratulations box checked.

Only thing she went in detail was the traffic ticket for which I had a receipt and the previous trip to Canada as passport wasn't stamped. She did not want to see the traffic payment receipt. She did not ask for SSS even though I took the letter. Pretty straightforward. Looks like she came from the New Orleans office to clear the Memphis backlog.

She would not give any info on my wife's case as she is waiting for her oath letter since Dec 12. This is in contrast to my wife's interviewing officer who told her the status of my case. At that time my name check was pending and he told her that my case was cleared and ready for interview scheduling.

Now the oath letter waiting game starts. Let me know if you have any questions.

Congratulations Sriabab..I bet some of the IOs are ex-military and law enforcement, hence explains their lack of customer service skills.

Congratulations! I have my interview in Memphis next month, hopefully mine will go as smoothly as yours.

Did the IO give you any idea of when you oath may be?

Triple: She mentioned that my oath would be in New Orleans as a slip of tongue (because she was from that place) rather than Memphis. On the wall I saw she graduated from USCIS New Orleans office.

Dave: All she said was I will be notified of oath in the mail. But my wife called the local district court and found out that there is an oath in Feb 21st and one in May. I doubt if my wife would be on the oath for Feb as she has not received her letter yet.

I noticed that previously they used to have 3 or so interviewing officers but today I saw about 6 - 7 officers and everyone was pretty friendly from the moment they called their names of course except the one that I had. I am assuming they hired more officers to clear the backlog. At this rate if they have say atleast 50 interviews a day and hoping atleast 5 folks are from Memphis, should they not have an oath once atleast in 2 months.
