Hello folks

While going over our N-400 applications in preparation for our interview, I came across an issue on my wife's N-400. Its regarding her middle name.
Her maiden name is: Jane Allan Doe
Her married name is: Jane Kenny Rogers

On her application, it reads in Part 1.A and 1.B : Jane Allan Rogers and Jane A. Rogers respectively. Basically, her first and last name are correct but it reads 'Allan' where it should say 'Rogers' or 'R'. I also know the reason why its like that - her Permanent Resident card - This is how her Permanent Resident card reads: Jane A Rogers.

Here's the million dollar question: should she tell the IO that there's a typo on her card and N-400 ? Am I risking another round of Name check ?

Might be considered splitting hairs but we're not looking to change her name but merely correct a typo.

Your thoughts ?

--------------------------what was her name on I-485? if it was written as Jane A Rogers on I-485 then it is not USCIS error. if her name on I-485 was same as on green card then it is not USCIS error

Here's the million dollar question: should she tell the IO that there's a typo on her card and N-400 ?
----------------YES
Am I risking another round of Name check ?

Good point- I checked the NoA's from her I-485....The original I-485 receipt has the correct name Jane K Rogers but her I-485 APPROVAL notice has Jane A Rogers....probably by someone preparing the approval notice...question is now what ?

correct it at interview.

always remember: Delay is better than giving wrong info. If u get approval based on wrong info, then there will always be a small worry.

Take the hit, do it right, things will eventually work fine.

Another option I would consider is to drop the middle initial altogether...

Take that original I-485 receipt Copy that has the correct name Jane K Rogers And inform the officer he/she can make a correct in the System. If you have I-485 form COPY that was submitted to USCIS take that also( FYI the officer will have her I-485 form in the file),She should also take Her DL with correct name and her passport.
Inform the officer and that will be corrected.
****Update us after Interview
Good Luck!!!
