iam happy 2009 is coming soon

I am happy that 2008 is coming to an end. This year proved to be an exceptionally challenging year on all fronts for our adopted country. Hopefully 2009 will be a year of healing . Under new political leadership in Washington may we be blessed with the strength to lay new foundations for future sucesses.

Hah, I may be applying at the very end of December, 2009. But, I think it'll end up being in January, 2010. We'll see. Yes, with a new administration, let's hope things will get better. Good luck to you guys.

I hope the new administration will speed up application process so as to meet with short processing time. My application for citizenship is due at march, but like I said the faster the process the better.

Hey guys I have a question, my citizenship apllication is due in March and I just discovered that my greencard is missing though am still looking for it cos I just moved, do I file I-90 or just file N-400 with police report, my fear is filing I-90 two months prior to filing N-400 may delay the processing of the N-400 whereby both applications are running cuncurrently. Any suggestion will help. Happy New Year to all the forum members.

I will be up to apply on Mar 14th. Can't wait.

so I can mail the application on Mar 14th right? or even have it reach there on Mar 14?

ha ha just being too impatient.

August

Mine is in August,

My kids (under 18) are in May, do we have to wait until parents are elegible? or we can start the kid's process in advance.

Please advise.

I called the USCIS customer service today. You should date, sign, and mail the application 90 days before the day you become eligible (5 years from Resident Since date) including the check or the money order, just to be on the safe side. My 5 years date is 05/03/09, the agent told me to file on or after 02/03/09 (date, sign, and mail the application).

Thanks for the info.
