i-94 issued for 6 month only,even h1b visa is valid till next 2 year

Hi,

Last month I came from India, At airport in USA, Immigration office gave me only 6 month I-94, even my h1b visa was stamped on my passport which was valid untill next 2 years.
Now my question is Do I need to extend my i-94, if yes then
How to extend i-94 ? any contact link or address will be appreciable.

why did you not find out from the supervisor why the I94 was given for only 6 months?
You have to get a new I94, most probably go out of US and get a new I94. Plan for the trip now.

--- It is mistake of POE inspector, you should have checked the I-94 and if Inspector did have some problem you could have gone to Supervisor
---- Go to same airport get it corrected it happened with one of my friend at Newark airport and he went to Airport and I-94 was corrected with out any problems.
--- as Jaxen advised make a trip to Canada or Mexico ( submit your current I-94 to Canada immigration , normally they don’t take it) while coming back get newI-94

------ you need to extend I-94. Ask your lawyer I don’t know about Form# and fill up that form send it to BCIS and they will send you corrected I-94 you have to pay fees to BCIS for that, you may also try local BCIS office ask your lawyer
