I-485 Processing Time at Houston District

Our cases were approved this morning

We went to interview this morning. Everything was smooth and straight forward except the traffic. We made it right o time. Almost no questions asked except employment letter, when was the last time we entered the US. Passports stamped for both of us. We were asked to re-summit photos since the ones they have are already three and half years old and INs changed from green card photo to passport photos. We went ahead took the photos and gave them to the receptionist.

That is it. The green cards will be in our mail.

Three and half years's waiting for 485.

interview letter

We got the interview letter today and it is scheduled for next month .

Only concern for me that the letter stated that the interview will be video taped !!!!!
Is this normal ??
i have read lot of posting from other people and they say that the interview may be video taped .

Please advise

My case has been sitting in Houston office for a couple of months now as well. I request you to post your details so I can compare them againt mine. I just want to see if there is any correlation and anticipate when my interview data could be.

Here are my details.

140/485 RD 10/12/2004
Transferred to Buffalo (mistake) 11/05/04
Transferred to Houston (after infopass visit to Buffalo) 02/28/2005
Transferred to Dallas 03/04/05 mistake again
Transferred back to Houston 03/10/05
Fingerprints Houston 04/06/2005
 
Please advise urgently - If you are allowed to take Kids to the interview ?
My kid is 3 yrs. old . Kid is not included in the application .

advise needed .
 
Kid not required for interview

If your kid is American citizen,than no need to take him to interview.
Take the BC of your kid (Original and photo copies)

Do not worry if u dont have any crime record.

Do not worry if u dont have any crime record.
That is the std format which they send to every body and do not worry if u dont have any arrests etc.
If you have any arrests in past I think you can get it from Dist attorney's office and I am not sure about this.

Gurus in this forum can help on this.
 
Houston Interview

I went to the interview in Houston local office on April 11, my case is clear, but I did not get my greencard because my name check pending by FBI. They sent out the name check request on August 27, 2004. I can not do anything except waiting. My 485 is August 30, 2002.

Hey Hou_inter, so when is your interview date.
We rec'd the much awaited letter for my wife. her interview is on 06/14.Officer is #31.
I will start gathering her papers soon. Please posst your experiences/advice.
 
I just checked the address on the letter states -
16504 central green blvd.

I was under impression that it would be with now familiar Northpoint drive address.
Did everyone else get this address ?

Can INS arrest us if they are not satisfied at the interview ??
or if they find some thing wrong ?

hou_inter, why are you so nervous. I don't the specifics of your case. But what is the location of your interview? What all documents have been asked for?
Is yours AC21 case , so you are feeling nervous?
Mine was also EB case and while I got approved last July, my wife's interview is scheduled next month. I have changed my jobs more than once ( after initial 180 days )
We have got the letter with the attachments asking for lot of documents.
I will list those documents this evening.

Never used Ac21 , same job since beginning .
Not nervous , lot of anxieties .

Hope next July i would also put a flag outside my house .
