I-485 Approved, Need Biometrics

Hi
My son got GC approval letter but he did not receive the card. His FP also expires on June 4th. We have vacation plans for the last week of the June and he also have a valid AP. Can he travel on his AP?

Hi,

I got my 485 approval notices on 23May06,case was approved on 16th may,but It didn't said anything related to biometrics,my FP expired on 5/23/06?

So when can I expect Cards? I purchased tkts to India,travelling on 7/11.
Please advise.
 
Passport Stamping

All,

Fyi, we went to local (Washington DC) USCIS office (Fairfax). We got our passports stamped without any problem.

Went for biometrics on friday(6/9). i see my case LUD change on 6/10 to card ordered.will update when once i received the physical cards.

Did you need to give only picture and signature at the biometrics apptmt, or also fingerprints? Did you also need to get the passport stamped at the apptmt? How much time did it take you?

What did you tell them? Is your I-485 approved?
 
On June 12, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

Why did you need to get your passports stamped? Isn't Code 2 biometrics enough to get your cards? Or is passport stamping the part of the process?

Infact our appointment (Code 2) was for Photo's and signature. but at the ASC they took all our FP, Photo & signature just be sure( Code3) . but in relaity you really don't need to do your FP in our case we gave our FP last Jan.let me know if you still have any questions.
 
In case we needed to travel out of the country...

Sometimes it can take 2-3 months for the cards to be produced, if the Biometrics were not done earlier during FP process. Hence to be safe, we had gotten our passports stamped.

Card ordered

We completed our Biometrics yesterday, June 15. Had an LUD yesterday and the message changed to "Card Ordered" today.

Guys,
Please update when you receive Plastic cards in the mail.so that we can track how long does it take to get the cards in the mail after message changed to Card mailed. :D

same message for my case also, Went for biometrics on Sat 06/19. Message changed to "cards ordered" today 06/20.

Hopefully cards will be mailed soon :)
