I-485 Approved, Need Biometrics

unfortunately it's been more than 2 months in my case, it's been approved march 20 and my work permit expires in june 8th and I don't have anything to show my employer that I am eligible to work besides that approval letter :(
 
Actually that's what I asked them at the office also. I asked them I need proof of work authorization so I can show my employer that I'm allowed to work. She said that I should show the letter but its up to the employer and if the employer doesn't accept then wait for the GC.

My employer is OK with everything so its alright. Also I have my work permit denial letter which states that my work permit renewal application was denied because I'm already a permanent resident.

Tahito, did you file form I765 after the fact your case has been approved? Did they send your money back with the denial letter? Maybe I should file it too just to get that letter.
 
I sent my EAD renewal in Feb so they cashed the check the day they received my application. I got the denial letter in the beginning of this month.

Can you please provide the text in your denial letter. That may help me understand my status during this "Approved 485" and "Wating for Bio" period.

I'm at work right now and the letter is at home. But it was along the line that in order for me to get the work permit renewed I would have to meet certain conditions. Then they listed the conditions. And because my case is already approved and I am a permanent resident, I don't meet the conditions for EAD. So they denied my application for employment.

Anything specific you are looking for?

By the way, I'm a derivative of my mother's application. My parents, brother and sisters are all approved and have their GC in hand.
 
Thanks for quick response. Actually I am fighting for my son's admission in the school, and school is creating problem. That is why I was looking for exact language, to tell them that he is Green Card holder for all the purposes.

Alert! They Change Approval Dates!

I reveived a new approval notice dated may 15 (the previous was approved march 20). The problem is they don't have any records about march 20 which means that I might won't receive my biometrics appointment notice within 90 days from the date of the new approval.... But I have been waiting for more than 2 months already!!!! The funny thing (if I may say so) is that my husband also received a new approval notice with the same date, but he received his GC in may 8. They don't care and they don't consider it as an error. Does anyone know anything or heard anything about it? Maybe someone had already similar situation? What can I do about it? There is no guarantee that they won't change it again and again and again... and I can wait forever!!! :mad:
 
Two different approvals, that's weird? Does the second one tell you that you have to give biometrics?
 
biometrics date

Hi folks,
Just received my letter for biometrics appointment. It was mailed on 05/24 and the appointment is for 06/06 at the nearest ASC where I had gone for my fingerprints and photograph for my 2nd EAD card.

did the letter actually say that u will also get photographed. in my case i just got an biometrics appointment letter which was just like FP appointment. my I-485 was approved on april 17th. please let me know.
 
Clarification

Mine says FP also, I think. I don't remember the exact wording.

But the important thing is the Code that is listed on the notice. Biometrics corresponds to Code 2, from what I understand. In my case, it is Code 2, so I did not bother to look at the message.

Here's what I understand about the various codes:

Code 1 means just the 10 Finger Prints
Code 2 means (Picture + Signature) - Biometrics
Code 3 means (10 Finger Prints + Picture + Signature)

any one knows how long does it take to get the physical card in the mail once you are done with biometrics? any ideas?
 
did biometrics on 25th may . LUD and message changed on 25th itself saying card ordered and will be mailed once ready. then again got email and LUD on 31st May saying card mailed. Hoping to get it in 4 to 5 days.
